You cared enough to complain about the attendance on another thread. Are you calling me a liar when I said I know people who would have gone to see us play Huddersfield Town if it hadn't been for the name change?
A sweeping generalisation. Who are "we"? Are you one of these people who go around telling everybody that you're "a real supporter"? What is a shallow supporter? Somebody who has seen more dross at Hull City than glory days, went to China to see City, saw every match in the first premiership season and missed their first cup home game in 20 years against Huddersfield? I think you need to take a step back and think about what you write.
It is always clear, when you resort to insults and your trademark ' ' that you are having to resort to your last resort; it becomes even clearer when you choose to copy only the last of the two contradictory posts. But never mind, move on and enjoy your day
I've read the minutes. Some advice to the committee if they want to be taken seriously: Don't meet in a pub again. Then you can't be accused of being a 'drunken rabble' Don't use phrases like 'you can't win the war without troops' - it's too aggressive. And also make sure your spokesman is smartly dressed when being interviewed.
So which is it? They seem contradictory statements to me. Are you representing the antis on this forum, or just yourself? What's planned for today? Owt or nowt?
Shallow? Sounds more like they have made a personal sacrifice due to 'depth' of feeling and principle. Who's 'we' because you don't speak for me. No to Hull Tigers.
I merely meant that I'm not there representing the views of ALL the posters on this board, just those who's feelings are the same as mine. Badges and leaflets publicising the campaign will be distributed outside the ground today.
I'm sure that all the people who find 'AFC' so important to them can always find another club. I mean its so common. I, unlike so people like to profess, speak only for myself. I never need to grand myself up into thinking I speak for anyone else.
Pretty sure you don't know enough people who will have taken the attendance from 7,151 to full capacity on the basis of a future name change.
Someone mentioned on page 6 going with the majority - if the majority of the country wants the death penalty are we happy with that? As for attendences this season compared to the last time - there could be a number of factors for the difference. The name change, the economic situation, the "novelty factor" meaning "plastics" wanted a season of watching top sides but no one can say for certain (but to try and claim that everyone who is not going is just down to the name change is pushing it). I agree with tigerfiley, the name change will only be another chapter in the history of the football club. We have not formed a new club (like Rangers in Scotland), we will have the same players, management and stadium staff when we are Hull Tigers as we have now (barring transfers of players) - and that is the point which the majority of the "Don't cares" will adopt.
Considering this board is an anonymous environment, I can see no problem with anyone representing the posters of any particular viewpoint. I think most of us can take from it all what we need, as most is reported elsewhere (although this and the HDM is it for me). I also find it hugely amusing that folk need to play with semantics and thread manipulation to progress their point. Just state it (once is fine) and then ignore the ones that offend your ordered life. Since the 'Bubble' this board has become a relentless crusade for campaigners with, it would seem, a great lack of tolerance to apathetic scabs.
The question of the majority or minority is easily settled. The club holds a vote of its supporters. Plastik Tubby I asked you a question. Do you intend to reply? The same applies to John.Walkington. In my world if somebody asks you a direct question you have the good manners to reply.
Tubby,John,if you truly believe you are in the majority on this, then one thing is a certainty...You don't get out much. I don't know anyone, and this includes none Hull city fans, fans of other clubs/sports,who don't think the namechange is a terrible idea. Unless of course your just wumming ?
