Great to see Matty being so positive about Saints. And nice to see he's dressed up to go on the BBC as well. Doesn't he know Lord Reith is dead?

Ha..! Very good Chilco. Matty has been inducted (I hate that word) into the football hall of fame. Obviously it aids the process if one is wearing a wing collared shirt. Buttoned up and bow tied would be even better.
As it happens, I have a couple of wing collared shirts and several bow ties. There's no doubt they make one look quite dapper in the right situation.

I thought so, but I wanted to see if you'd bite because, on the surface it does seem so. Well done for not taking the bait. ;)

It takes less references to NK for me to get that Paddy Power advert out again. But I'm discipling myself.

Interview with Rickie on Football Focus tomorrow about his chances of going to Brazil with England. If he has a half decent season, and still doesn't get to Brazil I think I shall cry.

I suppose it's going to escape most people's notice, save GBS, SaintStu, and a couple of others, of a news item about a retired racing motorcyclist. Sean Emmett was a bloody good rider, but that makes no difference. He raced in MotoGP, World and British Superbikes, but that makes no difference either. This is about a bloke who must be living in hell, but there's nothing wrong with him. He has 3 kids from a first marriage, and he was on his honeymoon in Dubai after marrying his second wife, early this year. Only he saw her fall to her death from a hotel balcony window. The Dubai authorities took his passport away while he was giving them details of his wife's death. They don't suspect him. They've already come to the conclusion that it was suicide [I would have thought accidental death, more like given the circumstances, but there you go]. And remarkably they haven't returned Emmett his passport so that he can go home and see his family. This is because they could smell alcohol on him, served to him in a restaurant.

He's now been stuck in Dubai for 7 months while the authorities twiddle their fingers. Our own government hasn't wanted to get involved, until now because there is an e-petition out. I won't link it here, I'll just link the news article. The link is in the text:

    I won't cry .

I am pleased for him , VERY , but if the usual suspects / " STARS " are available , they will go .

Seems form matters not a bit when it comes to selecting our national squad , reputation / past performance is all that matters .

I am thinking that Roy will take him , a change of mind on my part , YES , but now think that he will at least take RL on the trip .

Haven't done that yet, or golf!

I did figure out that if you are driving and select weapon unarmed, then hit the fire button, you give other road users the finger! Really pisses them off!

The golf is genuinely good fun. Tennis is alright for a while but drags like hell.

I don't realise how much time I spend on GTA. I turned off at 2am having had it on since 5pm.

Although, for an hour and a bit of that I wasn't playing.

It's just so immersive and there's always something more to do. I'm 42% complete.
