With four minutes left two lads went for the ball, kicking each other. Ball broke away and no head injury so I played on.

Glanced over to see the lad sat on the floor holding his ankle.

Ball then exited play and I turned round to see a woman jumping the RESPECT barrier and running ten yards on to the pitch before shouting at me at the top of her voice "referee you ****ing idiot!"

The coaches apologised and dealt with the lad and talked to heir parents to express the disappointment at the behaviour, especially as they were 11-1 up.

Now to spend the afternoon filling the paperwork in...

One of the reasons I gave up being a ref and just play football instead.

They were just talking about Saints in relative depth on MOTD2. Worth a look later on iplayer later.

It was interesting .

All amazed an Nigel's sacking , but saying it has worked out .

Liked it when the BBC reporter put the journo in his place ref MP's ability to speak English .

To be fair they weren't exactly in bad shape last season with Mazzarri, finished 2nd in Serie A with a weaker squad than their current one. The big test will be if they can get out of that tough CL group.

Acer or Asus ?

Only ask as I might be changing from Traditional desk top to lap top , and mate at work's daughter bought an ASUS , loves it to bits !!!!

ASUS is one of the best makes. They started of just making boards for the other laptops but branched out. Very reliable laptops.

Just a fair warning: with Acer you get good performance for the price but they often have overheating issues and they're built in such a way that they're impossible to deconstruct so you'll be ripped off for repairs.

You might want to have a look at pcspecialist.co.uk
