Its funny that we caught OLM as when I was out fishing earlier I actually seen him on his way there aswell!!! please log in to view this image
If we don't beat Blackpool, the critics will be back. But at the minute, looking at our fixtures, we could go on a great run. Barnsley, Yeovil, Doncaster, Huddersfield and Bournemouth in the next six. Isn't it exciting?!
I didnt have us pegged on this many point in my most optimistic of moods, lets hope we can keep it up, lower league opposition has never been easy for us though.
You read my mind Wizard. Historically its the lower end teams in the division that we slip up against. No game is easy in this division, we surely have all learnt that now.
It's early day yet, but very pleasing nonetheless - not just the league position but the improvement in our overall play in the last couple of games. In theory we have a good run of fixtures coming up but this league can bite you where it hurts if you get complacent - look at Blackpool last night - and we got turned over by a Charlton team that had been on a woeful run ... we've been here before and the key will be how we react if we should lose a couple on the bounce - fingers crossed that we don't even do that.
There has definitely been some fine individual performances so far, but the thing that has really pleased me is the way we have been able to change tempo in midfield and up front. From slow build up play to 1-2 passes. It has made a really good watch.
People starting to jump on the NP bandwagon again I see I have always believed he is the best man for our club and its being proven again Jamie Vardy was seen as a failure but look at him now. He seems a great signing now So many positives from the start of the season. We have won when we havent played well and the individual performances and the team performances are now starting to come.
Hey ive always supported the manager, i said at the start of the season though that if things were going badly then there would be no excuses left for him imo. I will support any manager of Leicester until they are no longer manager of Leicester, i was still supporting Sven before he left. You gotta keep the faith as a Leicester supporter, or as Ed would say, believe. Some credit has to goto King Power group as well, they could have easily kicked him to the curb last summer but they have stuck with him, whether this was for financial reasons or not, it doesn't really matter. Im going to end this bit by pulling the reigns in slightly, we are top now, but that doesn't mean that the jobs over, not by a long way, hes doing well and i will continue to support him in the hope that he will continue doing well. Vardy got unlucky last year, he was playing very well and got injured if i remember rightly, then Wood came in and had a scorching January.
... personally I'm still cautious Proud (as you migh expect) we've achieved nothing as yet (we topped the table broifly last season too) and Nigel has proven nothing (as yet) ... ... and personally I never classed Jamie Vardy as a failure either - indeed in my pre season posts I expressed the view that I thought he might still come good and I've been pleasantly pleased to see him blossoming - but again it's early days and he still has a lot to prove. ... all that said, you can't do better than topping the table, so long may it continue.... my view is very much the same as that expressed earlier on the thread by Barwell ... if we can sustain the momentum, performances and results then my view may well change ... but for now I'll just enjoy looking at the table whilst not counting the contents of the bargain bucket before it's been delivered.
can i have credit for always believing in NP and last season also saying Vardy had goals in him? When we go on a 5 game form dip, which we will like every single team in the division, i will still stand by this
Slap yourself on your back Ed. And Proud - not jumped on any bandwagon. The big test for NP is handling his squad over the course of a season, and how he and his staff react to a bad run (which we will have at some time). Time will tell - and I hope he succeeds, as I am sure we all do.
