Haha no, but it's rare to see a player care so much I thought.

The difference in quality for Liverpool from the first half to the second was so shocking conditioning may play a part. They looked excellent in the first half, and were hardly heard from from about the 60 minute mark on.

Seemed to me that while Shelvey's body had completed the switch from Liverpool to Swansea, his mind had only made it halfway. The first goal in particular it really looked like the sight of Sturridge in bright red with the keeper at his mercy was too great a temptation for Shelvey to resist. Especially when he proceeded to slam himself in the head, as if to say. "Swansea, Jonjo! You're playing for Swansea now! NOT LIVERPOOL!"

Bale Madrid or Van (Persie) United?

I'm going for the United game because I like Leverkusen and Kagawa's finally playing for United. Might switch over if Bale comes on though.

I know most won't have been able to share a smile but when Bale scored his first goal for Madrid, Modric played the pass which started the move......can't help but admire Modric as well as Bale and am gonna check out the Madrid game.

I'm going to switch to the Madrid game when Bale comes on.

Boss - I was out on Saturday night when a friend told me Bale had scored, I couldn't help feeling very proud of him. I really want him to be a success at RM and justify his price tag, silence all those saying he's not worth that amount of money.

And then, two days later, Cristiano Ronaldo does his bit for team spirit by demanding he get double the wages Bale does...

Yeah I'm hoping Bale does well too, top player and other than not turning up to the training ground when he was supposed to he behaved himself very well. Modric behaved like an asshole throughout but I always loved watching him play and deep down I am pleased that he's proven his quality at Madrid after a difficult start. I'll still boo Modric if he ever plays us though.

Is being a feeder club for Madrid better than the Goons being a feeder club for the Mancs ??

    It's certainly more lucrative.

At least Man City have the common courtesy to not publicly tap up their players for months on end...

More lucrative, and less damaging to our quest in getting a regular CL slot.
Think we need Barca on the list too.

Perhaps Levy needs to let clubs know there is a 'tapping up' tax that may be slapped on top
    of the transfer fee.

Perhaps the cost of a stadium?

That is the cost in London terms, not the cost in having-Madrid-council-wrapped-around-your-little-finger terms.

Offside twice in the goal and Leno was pretty useless as usual. Still that's a crucial goal for United against tough opposition and away from home... oh wait they're at home, do they usually sing in German? <whistle>

Is this lending any credence to DL's claims that the Premier League is ****? Leverkusen have been fairly dire so far. Passing is wayward. Movement is practically non-existant. Man Utd players left in acres of space. Not exactly top quality football on display.

Van Persie going nose to nose with the ref and shouting in his face after getting rightly penalised for a foul. What a ****.
