[nsfw]Is it humanity, though, or is it just Walt manipulating events in the manner that best suits him? From the beginning, his interest has been in controlling things; the moments where he has melted down have been those where he had been outmaneuvered. I don't think that it was about doing the right thing, so much as being seen as doing the right thing because that suits Walt's self-conception and allows him to assert what remains of his influence on events.[/nsfw]

Yes. It's funny how no-one seems to really notice til he's almost on the pitch. I was expecting people to be stood around pointing up at the sky.

[nsfw]I definitely think it was humanity. Why else would he give Holly back? We've known all along that family is absolutely his #1 priority, even when it's not in his best interests - he realised that him keeping Holly was best for his relationship with the family (because at least he'd still have SOME family), but not best for the family on the whole.[/nsfw]

[nsfw]I don't think that family is his priority at all. I think that claiming that family is his priority is what he has used as justification for actions that were ultimately selfish.[/nsfw]

[NSFW]I think the fact that he begged for hank's life, and offered all the money he had earned showed that family takes priority. You could argue it might be in his best interests for hank to live, but it depends on how you look at it.[/NSFW]

Nice time for a GTA5 advert to pop up. My appetite is well and truly whetted.

[nsfw]I don't think so. We saw how much he panicked when he thought Jesse had his money, so we know how important that selfish aspect is to him, yet he was happily willing to give that up when he thought it'd save Hank's life, even though he knows how much Hank hates him, and that having Hank killed would be convenient for Walt. There was nothing selfish about that.

For a while, his selfishness did take over - he basically admitted that when explaining to Jesse why he'd not take a huge payout and quit, that his self esteem was ruined by the whole Grey Matter thing, and he was desperate to not let the same happen again. That was stupid selfishness and it's ended up costing him everything. However, since then, particularly with this last episode in mind, it's become clear he's rearranged his priorities again.[/nsfw]

I have 2 questions about the game.

    1) Where is it set?
    2) Does the player character have an intelligible accent this time?

Arsenal may have dodged a bullet with Gustavo. 2 reds in 3 games, worse than Flamini! <laugh>

Roma have looked decent this season, considering who they've lost. Strootman looks very good. Gervinho was, Gervinho.

They beat Parma 3-1 away from home, having gone one behind.

[nsfw]The money always seemed to mean more to him as a measure of his empire-building than for its tangible value, though. When Jesse was apparently burning money, his concern didn't seem to be that his family's $70m nest egg was going up in smoke...his rant was all about what he'd built, what he'd done, and how Jesse had no right to interfere with him.

I think that Walt definitely thinks that he's a family man, but his actions only take his family into consideration when his interests intersect with theirs...he's been perfectly happy to ignore their best interests on many occasions when it suited his empire-building ambitions. I don't think that he wanted Hank dead, certainly, but largely because it strips him of all justification; he's not the protector and provider that he envisions, he's a fundamentally evil megalomaniac whose actions have left most of the people in his life broken or dead. One team that continues to do brilliantly is Dortmund. Aubameyang is on fire - 5 goals in 3 games. They don't miss Gotze at all.
