    Boruc
    Clyne Fone Lovren Shaw
    Wanyama
    Morgan Cork
    Lallana Osvaldo Jay

Davis, Chambers, Hooiveld, Davis, JWP, Gaston, Lambert

Whether it's Lallana and Jay alongside Osvaldo, or back just in advance of Morgan and Cork, I'm not overly fussed. Danger with the latter though that Osvaldo could get isolated. Key for me is to have Cork in there with Morgan and Wanyama.

Jay is basically our only attacker who any sort of pace, so he has to start for me.

Watching Scouse at Swansea tonight 2 1 up at the moment, they look awesome in attack, but a little bit vulnerable at the back. I am not sure we are good enough to match them, a bit of luck and a miracle or two would come in handy.

They didn't look terribly vulnerable in previous games, but yeah...Swansea was getting on the ball, moving it quickly and catching Liverpool with players up-field. If we are going to generate chances, it's likely that we'll need to attack at that same sort of tempo, because it's unlikely that we'll have our usual 60% possession.

    -----------Boruc----------
    Clyne--Fonte--Lovren--Shaw
    -------JWP--Wanyama-------
    ----Schneiderlin--Lallana-----
    -----Osvaldo---Lambert------

Go back to the tactics we used against norwich as if we are going to pay 2 strikers we need to have control of the midfield. Harsh on rodriguez who wasn't always bad going forward and did more than help out defensively, and I'm not convinced JWP is capable against a quick winger but Clyne is not Chambers so that risk is less than it was against norwich.

I think we would stand more chance of hitting liverpool on the counterattack if we played rodriguez instead of Lambert but Lambert adds more to the team over the 90 minutes and makes up for his lack of counterattacking ability. And with Rodriguez and Gaston to come on we must be able to penetrate liverpool at some stage. Cork needs to be first name on the bench every week as well.

Coutinho shoulder injury. I think he needs at least 2 weeks off!

Would be very surprised if we started with Gaston and Lallana at Anfield

I'd probably leave it as it is. I'm tempted to agree with others and say bring in Ramirez for Rodriguez but, apart from some poor touches at important times, Rodriguez was decent at the weekend and his pace on the counter should be more useful at Anfield. I think it was odd that Ramirez didn't come on at some point in the West Ham game and think he would have suited that game more than Rodriguez but this is a different match and I'd stick with the current line-up. I have a funny feeling Osvaldo will have a good game as well.

Same team, for me. West Ham came to St Mary's with only one thing in mind; to defend and to nullify our attacks, and they were mostly successful at it. We didn't respond well the first half, but the second half we were much better. We came foward with big numbers, with at least 5 players (front four+Morgan) and we created a number of dangerous situation in front of their goal, but our decision making was poor at times. Nontheless, i thought we showed much promise.

Ramirez might have been a good choice against WHU, but i think Jay would come in handy against Liverpool at Anfield. Liverpool will surley be much more offensive minded then WHU, so they should leave a lot of open spaces for Jay to run into, where ideally Lambert will find him with his troughballs.

The more I think about it the more I'm leaning towards the same line up. But I would have made different subs.

They might be, although they will remember our last meeting and could be a bit cautious.

We'll not know until we match up. We may storm them. They may do the same to us. It may be the match of the season. It may be Dullsville. With only 4 games in it's very difficult to assess.
