Oh for some reason I thought it was Tuesday for a sat game. Out of interest does anyone think the 'team for ___________' and match thread should be one and the same thing? We always seem to discuss other topics re the match. I personally feel if the last match is over and people want to discuss the upcoming fixture then its not too early!
Have to say last time I started a match thread on a Monday I got shot down in flames! Personally I'm with you. As soon a soon as one game finishes people are looking to talk about the next one!. I'll go with the flow though.
Most of us are happy to have a match thread early, but think the 'rule' about not posting early was introduced to stop someone monopolising the job. There are only a few people who are up for it really...perhaps you could all meet up outside and decide in a punch up
Yes it seems to be one of 3 or 4. Think it must be DTLW's turn as Tom and I have fluffed our lines with a defeat and a draw!
I did one once. It wasn't a very good thread. People were being mean at me for not putting enough colours in It was months before I could pluck up the courage to even post again.
Neil Swarbrick was ref for our 2-2 with Portsmouth. Also took charge of our 0-0 with Everton and 4-1 loss to West Ham last season. We've had him seven times, only winning once, the 3-1 away to Hartlepool in 2009 (which I think was that really windy game where Lallana scored one that curled a mile?)
There is a long-winded but guaranteed to work way of doing it. Do your line-up thing, then press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Then paste the image from clipboard [memory] into a photo editor like Photoshop or PaintShopPro or whatever. Crop the image and resize it to your requirements. Upload the image to an on-line photo storage place [if you have a Google email you then have access to your Google photo storage area]. Bring the image up on the screen and right-click on it to provide a URL address to copy. Then come here and click the insert image button and pop that URL into the popup window. Done. On second thoughts, don't bother. It's too long winded. Or you could find how to do the last bit via our basic guide: http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...6-A-Newbies-and-Basic-Editor-Guide!-(updated)
Tried it on a new Win XP installation using the standard Accessories > Paint program. Bit tougher to use and more crude, but possible: please log in to view this image
That's nice, accepting that the front four are interchangeable and we don't need to label any of them in a specific role. Must have J Rod JWP and Cork on the bench though so they can play a part as required. Just watched Sundays game again. Although I felt it was two points thrown away on Sunday, I think a draw was a fair result and the I have no criticisms of the overall performance. Wanyama was, contrary to my thoughts on the day, immense. J Rod also had a very good game. And I can now see why Lallana was subbed - good game but tiring and he got a hell of a knock just before he went off. Liverpool is just the sort of game to bring the best out of the Osvaldo / Ramirez combination which we've not seen enough of yet (because they are rarely on the pitch at the same time).
Hi Mowgli. I've watched it a couple of times and can't agree that Victor was immense. He improved in the second half but gave the ball away far too often for me.
Bear in mind this is NorthernIrishSaint's first eleven, but yeah, I like it too. On the subject of positions, I'm with Jesús Pérez on this. These are the positions the players initially start from. Undoubtedly, they will play elsewhere during the match.
Agreed. I think second or third watches reveal a lot. One can get a far better pictures just watching the extended Saints highlights a few times. Even the manager watches the full recording back. As Nigel used to quip... We haven't seen the DVD yet..!
