Writing an opening to a personal statement is hard work. Anyone have any advice?

I hate sports. I'm gonna spend my evening sulking. How's the forum been today after the West Ham game, sulky?

Very. And quite unfair on a lot of our players too. Whole lot of Rodriguez hate.

No it should be me saying sorry. I'm normally one of the ones who goes into a massive rage and posts complete bullshit. I've let the side down today. :(

Why must he..? Why not turn off the TV and do something more interesting instead..? My solution was to watch Amadeus - Director's Cut, for the first time. I've seen Amadeus before several times, but not the DC before. Now I know why all the intense motivations, love, lust and hatred is in it. Why on earth wasn't this the cinema cut..? Yes, it was an excellent film, but it's a lot better with the rest of the material back in place. And none of the actors have been in a better thing.

And yes I know, I was watching a screen. Nearly TV. :)

Yes, an opening paragraph to a personal statement, outlining my suitability to my Universities of choice etc.

I've managed to write about my experiences, why I am interested in the subject etc and practical work I've done as well as subject reading... however, I can't think how the hell to open it without sounding like a massive cringe-bag.

Yes, I know, I'm supposed to be the journalist here...

Hmmm. If he hadn't posted on here, I'd have been convinced it was FLT. :D Oh hang on, were you using the match as cover for your absence on here FLT? <whistle>

Lol - that story is scaring the **** out of my little girl. It's all the talk at the school. Apparently someone is popping up in all sorts of strange positions looking like a clown .... was Foxy on the bench today?
