Must admit, it was quite weird tuning into BBC Radio 4 and hearing my headmaster talking on Any Questions.

Ever been to Canal Street in Manchester? Yes, the sign is not complete and yes, it is the gay nightlife area!

I doubt it. As I type, Southend have gone one down.

No danger after Etienne Esajas' cross evaded everyone, then left back Ben Coker headed it back across his own goal, gifting Chris Iwelumo an easy goal.

    All over. Southend 0-1 Scunthorpe.

Southend well on top, but wasted chances and then gifted Scunthorpe a goal on the break.

Four losses in a row for Phil Brown.

I think I completely missed the reasoning behind you going to southend matches. What was it again?

Agreed. I had the misfortune to waste 15 minutes looking at it. Where is the art in such drivel..? I watched The Prestige for the second time. Even though I knew it through, it was enjoyable, because it is a thoroughly well made film, well acted, with a good story of misdirection and illusion.

On another subject, I've just had a look at the latest squad photos to see if Chun is back in there, and he is. I noticed two things, 1] they've gone with grim, warts'n'all pictures of the players, and 2] if Jose Fonte is 6' 2" and Adam Lallana is 5' 8", how tall is Lee..? Only f*****g 6' 0". Amazing..! How can he be so tall..? He's a little squirt..! Just shows how the body can be so illusory.

    Just like that good film.
