Ah! I thought as much! I wondered why this forum lets us get away with "arse" but not "****" and now I know. I reckon we should all start up a petition to get the word "arse" banned, because that would mean that "Arsenal" would be rendered as "****nal."
i have swearing enabled, so it just looked like you were calling SD a Scunthorpe til your next message. Bit harsh i thought, lol
Yes, I can see how that might have looked! Never gave it a thought. Perhaps I should have put a little explanatory note with my initial post.
Arsenal would need a lot of luck to put on a title challenge this season. Firstly they'd need minimal injuries and then they'd need other sides to under perform and them to go on a great run of form. None of it's completely out of the question but I can't see them going far beyond 80 points even in their best scenario so if they were to win the league they'd need a season where no side really hits the kind of form you usually need to win the league. I can't see City, Chelsea and United all struggling, one of them at least will surely be pulling away from the rest of the pack by the new year.
I was out with 5 Arsenal season ticket holders last night. They're all obviously excited about Ozil and think it bodes well for the future but none of them see anything other than a 3rd or 4th place.
There's very few fans think otherwise. Most likely 4th at best, i still expect Persie to rescue plenty of points for Utd in games they don't deserve anything from
The penny might drop with Wenger one day that there are no points for artistic merit. The PL is not X Factor where talent comes a poor second to ego and showboating. Losing to teams you claim superiority over is still losing. Winning is the game - and Utd do it well.
I feel dirty, but i think i'd side with Wenger here. Winning with no panache, flair, style is no way to win. Mourinho also take note please
You feel dirty. I took delivery today of an Arsenal shirt. It's a mates 50th birthday next month and that's what I got him. I'll never feel clean again
I wasn't criticising, im just saying that's what I think will happen. There's been a lot of comments from people saying that Utd will finish outside the top 3 this season but I don't agree. Once Fergie's players have left and his influence has worn off then maybe..
How many goals did Utd score last season? A lot more than anyone else. Did the RvP goal v Villa lack panache, flair or style? I don't think a lack of style is ever a criticism which can be levelled at Utd. The team might not be as fluent as teams of the past at present, but there will always be an attacking intent. Scored 3 or more in 16 PL games last season, only failing to score in 3.
the red goes really well with my jeans....err no I didn't, can't even look at it. The delivery bloke, for some reason when my other half told him the background, wrote Fulham FC on the packaging. Bizarre.
I thought we were talking about Arsenal? If i was an Arsenal fan i would rather watch quality football than win every game in Mourinho style.
It lacked a linesman's flag, as did both of his other goals in that game. 3 offsides in one half, all incorrectly called in Utd's favour.
