I love Donnie Darko. First watched it a few years ago when I was really into that kind of ****, don't know if I'd like it as much if I watched it now for the first time, but I'm still very fond of it.

I'm just not sure I "got it". I'm usually good at getting films but this one just seemed a bit odd. I like films that make you think about them, I just can't place what was wrong with this one. I think it's because I heard such good things about it that I was slightly disappointed.

Yeah, it's really not easy to get especially if you didn't watch the Director's Cut.

Yeah saw it on SSN earlier. Awful. Seems to happen a lot these days though - attacks on foreign fans :(
Yeah former soviet nations think England are the football yobs of the world so have to prove themselves in some sick way.

That Tommy Robinson moron of the EDL was just moaning about four people being trialled for blasphemy of Islam.

He linked the article, which in the first line says "In Dhaka".

Yep, that's from The Bangladesh Daily Star.

There were a number of documentaries in the lead up to last years Euro's featuring the hooligan elements from Poland and Ukraine. They see English football hooliganism from the 70's and 80's as the bench mark and something to aspire to. They think that any "victory" over England supporters elevates their status as hooligans. Sad really as most England fans generally just want to watch the match and have a few beers.

Watching "Blackout" on C4; it's quite an interesting program and makes you think what it could really be like if we had a real blackout for a few days.
