I'm not a musician but tonight's performance was amazing and in particular Nigel Kennedy who was truly amazing - less the Villa shirt.
Just watching Last Night Of The Proms, this female conductor is in charge of more musicians than you could shake a stick at
He was outstanding, I'm not a huge fan of his but you have to give him credit, that performance was breathtaking.
I hate nationalism. A load of upper class twats the camerons and the cleggs of the world waving flags. A load of ****.
Ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaa!!! You hate nationalism, you parochial little twat? Irony not known at this address...
I have been catching bits of it and what I have caught, has been great to listen to . I've always wanted to play an instrument I bought a uke a couple of years ago which is just gathering dust I tried but failed .I was in the local park about a month ago where there was a band festival going on .There was a tent there which had instruments in so you could try them out which I did . The idea was to get people like myself who couldn't play anything to try them out and join a beginners band . So I decided to buy a clarinet and learn to play it with the beginners band. I had a few weeks to practise before the lesson started on Wednesday just gone and was pleased with what I had taught myself . Went there on Wednesday and could not believe how well these so called beginners could play . There was about 15 people there most of them were middle aged women with clarinet's and with all of the accessories to go with there instruments going up and down the scales . There was nobody who wanted to learn the trumpet so I said I would even though I had just bought a clarinet. The teacher said play a C which is played by not pressing any valves, you can get other notes with out pressing valves down . I just thought how the hell do I know what a C sounds like ! ITS MEANT TO BE A BEGINNERS COURSE . Anyway they loaned me a battered old trumpet and sent me off to learn the notes C D E F G . She`s having a ****ing laugh if you ask me . I will probably be holding everyone back but **** them they shouldn't have joined a beginners band, the show offs .......PARPparpPARP.
I`ve missed a handful of performances in the last 45 years or so. Having been brought up in council houses in Seaham I might well be a twat, but I`m a long way off being upper class - what a small-minded p***k you must be.
Don't let yourself buy into the us and them upper, lower ,middle class bollocks . I would have loved to have gone for the great occasion that it is .Music appeals to every class but unfortunately some music gets put into categories of us and them .
I am after 2 Andre riue tickets for the Metro arena in December but by god they are expensive, people buy them and stick them on ebay saying they cannot go for one reason or another !.
