Ronaldo seems to think he did a good job getting the ball to him, Mourinho seemed to think he was the best No 10 in the world, and a whole bunch of professionals from Arbeloa to Zidane seem to think he is one of the very best in the world.

I just can't understand how you can come on here and spout this **** and expect anyone to take you seriously about anything. I really want to ask the mods about how way out there an opinion has to get negatively, before it becomes a wind up.

I can't believe anyone takes you seriously, full stop. You're the ****** who thinks we're going to win the league, you're the ****** who thinks Wenger is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I'm the anti-you. I live in the real world, knows we're not good enough.

Notice that I say "I think" we are going to win the league and "I think" Wenger is the greatest thing....

At the point you say, that you "Know" we are not good enough, that is when I think you become a WUM.

We're not good enough to win the league at this current point in time. However if Ozil thinks he has the trust and confidence of the manager, combined with faith in his abilities on the football pitch, he will be a class act for us, as well as a matchwinner.

Kyle, you and Toledo might have Polar opposite views about Arsenal, but can you please knock off the '******' comments <ok>

Well me and José think that you are wrong.

No, we didn't get ba because we're a ****ing joke, and refused to pay a measly £3 million loan fee, which is pocket change for us.

Tons of reports saying it was agreed and a medical was set up for Ba only for José to pull it when we got Özil.

Well, if the Mail is to be believed...

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho pulled the plug on Demba Ba's proposed switch to Arsenal because he fears the £42.5million capture of Mesut Ozil has made them genuine title contenders.

Arsene Wenger was left fuming on transfer deadline night after Chelsea made a late U-turn on Ba’s proposed move across London.

The Arsenal manager thought a deal to sign the Senegal striker on a season-long loan deal was in place on Monday night after hours of negotiations between the clubs.

But Mourinho admitted the Blues blocked the Ba deal as they did not want to strengthen a direct rival, and the eleventh hour decision meant Wenger had no time to pursue any other options.

It is understood Ba’s move across London was so far advanced that Arsenal had arranged the former Newcastle forward’s medical

If the £3m loan deal fee was the real stumbling block, then the Five Live guys said it was a daft amount to ask for. Again though, it's all rumour right now.

Mourinho says what he thinks is the most beneficial thing to say for his club at the time. I wouldn't read in too much about what he says about Arsenal's chances.

As for his comments on Ozil, that has been a consistent theme, he really rates him very highly and as I said if he had a hint a few weeks ago that Real are crazy enough to want to sell him, no other club would have a chance basically.

This is very true <ok>

The main story doing the rounds is the one where Mourinho pulled the plug. This would coincide with his comment that we are title contenders. Personally I don't think we are title contenders and neither does he, but he does recognise that with Ozil, we have become a more dangerous team. Giving us Ba on loan would obviously make us more dangerous.

the signing of Ozil gives me the same feeling and buzz as when we signed Begkamp. this is a massive move forward and changes our status from club willing to sell our best players to a club that can compete in terms of wages and transfer fees. we can now attract the best players because we have - long term manager who is respected, stable board/owner, new stadium, history, champions league, top 4 status.
so lets get behind the team and look forward. the detractors are just jealous of our new status

Agree, and welcome. <ok>
