I think if Giroud struggles or we get injuries we might see Arsenal spend big again. If Giroud stays fit and continues scoring though I dont think we will. I would like to see us try and bring in Rooney. Be interesting to see what Wenger could do with him.
I think Wenger intends to bring in another striker. It may depend on Girouds form as to whether we spend big money or just buy a back-up though. I still think Wenger likes to have a choice of top strikers and all his previous Arsenal teams had multiple strikers. With money now available to spend and Wenger showing he can get the top players i wouldn't be suprised if the next big player we sign is a striker.
All I can think at present is that Giroud has just won the Lottery. How many strikers get 3 months of a clear run with Ozil, Cazorla and Walcott setting him up. He must be pinching himself. How many strikers get that kind of opportunity in a lifetime. I told a buddy that I thought Giroud would be top scorer in the PL this season, before I had heard about Ozil, he laughed so hard he fell off his chair. Mind you, same guy laughed at me when I said RVP would win it that year he did with Arsenal.
I think it'll be a toss up between him and Walcott for the highest scorers in the Prem. Ozil will take over from Fabregas's role and there is a good chance Wenger makes him a second striker of some sort, which means he will have a major stake in the goals we get. Also, I can see Ozil using Walcott more effectively than others have in the past, which means he gets more chances in front of goal.
Ronaldo's ego must have been dented when he saw that Bale was now the most expensive player ever. Expect Ronaldo to move soon, my bet is that he will end up at Monaco.
In all seriousness though, there may be one or two others like Di Maria and Benzema who might now think more seriously about joining Ozil at Arsenal
After all the **** we gave him for leaving? We'd look like bigger prats than we do now. This fanbase as a whole would be even more of a pathetic joke than it already is.
You take it all too personally. He is a world class striker who was with us for a long time and decided to jump ship for an easy trophy because he got scared he was getting old and would miss his chance. If he has got passed that and wanted to return and had the right attitude about it i wouldn't be adverse to having him back in the team. Infact i'm happy for us to go for any World Class striker regardless of there history as long as i think we could get them to perform.
I'd take him back, but he's a year old and playing in a disillusioned team So I reckon a 10m bid should secure him
am i really reading all this ****? We sign 1 player, and everyone becomes an unbearable wum? ****ing hell, we've mocked Spurs for delusions of Grandeur, now you're doing it, and i feel like the only sane man in the asylum.
No, It's just reading all these posts has made me feel like i support Spurs or Liverpool, 2 delusional sides which has put me in a bad mood.
