If it helps to clarify what I'm saying,

"I believe this lad will be the best player Di Canio has brought in. I think him & Fletcher will be sensational together in the same way that Quillips & Phinn were."

Well fletch is an all round class act, but lacks a little pace. We've got big Jozie and Connor who are similar with strength and will thrive with the ball into their feet. Borini gives us something in a forward we didn't have. A Bit of pace and the ability to draw defenders out of position. Inspired move if you ask me.

I do hope you are correct, Borini certainly looks to be a good young player and given the teams that he has played for, he must have some talent. Liverpool paid £10.5M for him last year so I imagine he's on good wages.

But looking at the facts:
Career todate 2009-2013
Games played: 66 (season average 17); Goals Scored: 18 (season average 5)
He has not played many games and has a history of serious injuries (broken foot and dislocated shoulder - twice)
Last season he played 21 games and scored 2 goals.

Hopefully he stays fit, bags us 20 goals :) and we give him back to Liverpool
