I think CB and DM is in a worse state. Walcott and Podolski can play upfront, they also still have Bendtner
True, neither have the physical presence that Giroud has. No doubt they could do with another CB though, only have 3 and always seem to be one short via because of injuries or suspensions.
Strange that Utd didn't even try an obligatory hijack of this signing, a good one for Arsenal and I'm sure he'll have a big impact in the Prem but not the area they most desperately need strengthening.
Anyone been on the Arsenal board to see their reaction? Not sure how many Arsenal fans would have been happy with their transfer activity prior to the window opening.
It's odd that Ozil is the player that United needed and yet he went to the side that didn't need him. Fellaini (who I still think is cack) was courted by United who didn't need him, and barely a sniff from Arsenal who did need him. Bunch of amateurs
Got to agree with TGOA. A congested midfield weaving pretty patterns with no forward punch and a back 4 left exposed because no ****er can be arsed tracking back! It's going to be interesting watching them and Spuds keep tripping-up this season
Kagawa....or Ozil... I know who I'd rather have. They dropped Rooney back into midfield even last season to create something from there because Carrick and Cleverly do **** all. They lack creative quality there, Ozil would have been huge for them. Fellaini is meh. They'll either hoof it up to him for his superb chesting skills, or play him at DM leaving Carrick to unlock defenses. Not really going to terrify many teams.
Rumors that deal was apparently agreed a week ago but wenger wanted it kept quiet. Which explains why he didn't play for Madrid in their previous game. Did they do a number on Levy.
Ozil is one of the best players in the world - absolutely phenominal signing whatever spin you want to try and put on it.
I had a look on their board and now they're on about going all out for Suarez in Jan and seem confident of getting him
No one claiming it's not. Brilliant signing, just Arsenal seem very lopsided much like Chelsea with about 10 attacking midfielders in the squad. Are you not concerned your only 2 defensive midfielders are Flamini and Diaby who is now out injured for god knows how long?
They won't be in the CL come January though Looks like they've got Fellaini & Coentrao? Or are they not impressed with those 2 signings?
Thought he was more defensive than the rest? In which case, are you not concerned that Flamini is the only DM midfielder?!
