    latest to come out is that Chelsea's refusal to sell to Arsenal was simply a matter of Arsenal not offereing enough , NOTHING to do with not selling to a rival...............dunno if i believe it tho

    Love the intent by us but the players we really need is not here ....

    - a heavy DM (with some power)
    - a world class striker
    - a winger (due to injuries)

    But instead we got a Attacking MF and move carzola out to the wing?

    Flamini is a squad player and not a world class dm.

    So different feelings to this transfer....

    If it's not been mentioned already, can I just mention how we should spare a thought for Southampton in all this?

    They had a 25% sell-on clause when they sold Bale to Spurs ... but re-negotiated it when they were in financial trouble a while back.

    Hmmm!! If that is true that we offered 1.5mn and they wanted 3mn I would be highly annoyed. I know it is not the best deal in terms of value for money but it is the penalty we would have to pay for leaving it so late. Realistically who is out there that we could get? Should have paid the whole 3! If true however, it means there is a chance of getting Lukaku on Loan then? If it is just a case of Chelsea rivals then fair enough.

    SSN reporting it hasn othing to do with the fee and that Che;sea plain refused to loan to a rival.

    Bendtner dealhas been called off and won't go ahead now unless something changes and we find a good enough striker who is available.
