Well with Ozil coming in, we can now shift Cazorla, who is a winger as well, out wide. Cazorla was playing wide yesterday, and Rosicky was our creative midfielder, now I'm sure EVERYBODY will agree that Ozil, is quite a mother ****ing upgrade to Rosicky in the creativity department, having Rosicky as back up though, is top quality, and don't hurt nobody, and is the type of a depth a top team wants to have.
Me Keyboard Warrior, Me Angry... Me Call People Names... Ahhhhhhhh Me Still Angry, I call people with names not their own more names!!!! Ozil, quality player, would make any team better, but in this forum we're "discussing" what would be of more use to the good'ole Woolwich Arsenal, a top quality Stricker, Defender and Goal Keeper, or another player similar to the type of players you already have.. Please try to come back with less insults next time, I fear I may not be able to take such abuse anymore!
I don't even know why you fans are so bitter at Arsenal? I can at least say Sakho is a very good signing, and back in January, I was saying Sturidge was an excellent signing, give credit where it's due.
Come on chap, no ones bitter or begrudges you a signing of Ozil Class (wish we could have him..) Don't tar all with the same brush, morons everywhere but, I believe there's genuine chat of where fans from the outside think you could "improve" your team.
Nobody yet knows if Ozil can adapt his game to Premiership play. Only over the next few weeks and months will we see just how many new imports can make the conversion. I'm not saying he won't but you can't say he will improve the club until he proves that he can make the conversion.
Too little too late from Arsenal i think, smells like panic buying. good player but needed strengthening elsewhere as a priority imo, it should settle a few fans but not the wise ones.
Perhaps you need to see that some are trying to have a reasonable debate, and some are just pulling your wire. None of the former have said that Ozil is anything less than a very good player, they're just saying you have other, more pressing areas to splash the cash. It's a reasonable point to make and one that you're welcome to argue with, but calling us names and saying we're bitter because we're not over the moon for you is a bit daft. This is football rivalry after all. If anything, it's Arsenal who seem the bitter ones because we didn't bend over for you on the Dracula deal.
Well maybe you should have been this polite when you first arrived on this thread instead of throwing around the childish insults Of course Ozil is an awesome player, you need more though dont you
BBC Sport's Saj Chowdhury: "I just bumped into former Manchester United and England midfielder Owen Hargreaves in Manchester. I asked him whether he had been following the latest developments on transfer deadline day, to which he responded, "not a chance". "I then informed the former Bayern Munich player that Arsenal had agreed a £42.4m deal with Real Madrid for Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil. His response to that? "Really? They don't even need him."
It looks like we will be signing Viviano (GK), we have already signed Flamini (CDM), with Ozil joining Cazorla can play wide which helps give us depth in AM and WF. If we manage to sign a striker on top of this then it will be a fantastic transfer window. Ozil will be the highest quality player to move to any english club this transfer window. So i think it's a little unfair to say we are not strengthening where we need it. And a player of Ozil' standard would improve any team.
Midfield - not a problem area for Arsenal, is it? Competition for Giraud would be the problem, I'd say...
I'm almost willing to bet that Flamini will be but a pale shadow of the player that left you. Let's face it he walked a fine line regarding his interpretation of tackling and the Refs before he went. Nowadays the refs are more strict. Seems to me that it's going to get very congested in your midfield leaving your defence more vunerable and attack still limp.
German football writer Mark Lovell: "Mesut Ozil is a luxury signing. Alas trophy winners are built on sound defence and goalkeeper and Arsene Wenger has neglected these key areas. Mesut Ozil "Arsenal will still get bullied." Fresh from the Beeb's page. It's not only us who are saying it Gooners!
