    Im getting excited.

If this happens Wenger will well and truly have proved the doubters wrong.

Really pleased for you guys getting Ozil. Obviously you wanted our star player earlier in the summer and im really glad that didnt happen, but I do like Arsenal, (a damn sight more than Spurs, utd and Chelsea anyway.)

Glad you have gotten yourself a real quality player and at the same time a real quality addition to the premier league as a whole.

The best things come to those who wait.

It'd be a great signing for sure, but as far as I can tell, this now threatens Wilshere's place in the squad. This is how i see the team go:

    Szczesny

    Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs

    -------------Arteta---------------

    -----------------Ramsey---------

    ------Walcott----- Ozil-----Cazorla

    ------------Giroud-------------

Obligatory youtube video. Don't know too much about him but looks alright on youtube (yes i know anyone can look good on youtube - bar Carroll) might make it AFC.

velachiperoo ozil a fantastic player. he doesn;t really dictate matches ala fabregas but his passing and vision are absolutely exceptional.

I still kinda wish we had made a bid for Defoe (cheap as chips).

I know the spuds like to think we are direct rivals, but if he were to hand in a transfer request, it would be hard for them to say no.

With Mertesaker and Podolski in our team Ozil can he assured that he is constantly watched by Loew. :emoticon-0183-swear:

for what its worth, i hope we don't sign demba ba. he is not an upgrade on what we have. if giroud is injured, i'd rather we just played theo upfront. oh and the less said about dofoe the better

And that's just skills. The best part of Ozils game is his range of passing.

80 assists in 104 Games for Real Madrid make him more efficient than Xavi, Fabregas or Schweinsteiger.

If we cant land a TOP striker I would take him as a squad player. Not a bad impact sub.

I'm still hoping we sign sign Di Maria also. (I know he's more a LWF but still would be a great addition)

Ok! Clearly my attempt at a joke has failed, miserably at that. I am well aware of Ozil (though that video did show he has far more skills than i thought) and am ****ing delighted we are signing him.

Hardly. He's paying top dollar for a player only on the move because Levy sold Bale. Great deal for you guys as a club but hardly Wenger pulling off a masterstroke. If Bale hadn't of moved then he'd have never pulled this off.

I'd be a bit worried if I was a spud now though, no Bale and you guys with Ozil!!

should we get ozil, we have a replacement for cesc, final-ball wise. ozil is one hell of a player and i have to say, am rather surprised madrid are willing to let him go

Real are desperate for the money.

SSN reporting that a deal was agreed last week, but wasn't public knowledge because Real didn't want to upset Spurs prior to Bale signing.

BBC reporting that Ozil has agreed personal terms and just needs to complete the medical now

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23929339

If we complete this signing, then yesterday will be one of the best days of the season so far, we beat the 110m-gate spuds, they lost Bale to Real, which enabled us to buy one of the best creative MF players in the world from them.

Spuds, the gift that keeps on giving <ok>

I'd take Ba on a loan. Numbers are needed & he's a decent striker & knows the PL. He's also strong which is something Arsenal need. Ba, Pod & Giroud on for the last 20 when losing gives the ability to bully teams a bit.

Sounds plausible and would explain Wengers 'ambigious' comments in recent interviews.
