<laugh> Brilliant! Looking to an Indian sports website for proof.

For anyone who cannot access the site the 'insightful' article you have referred to prove that Jose rejected Utd says:

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that he never dreamed of being the Manchester United manager.

Mourinho had been on top of the list to replace Sir Alex Ferguson after enjoying success at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, but eventually lost out to David Moyes.

Mourinho also revealed that he and Ferguson had discussions about his planned return to Chelsea and the retirement plans of the Scot.

“I never have these dreams, I’m focused on my club, I don’t think of any other thing. I was always on the touchline at Old Trafford thinking, ‘How can I win this match?”, said Mourinho.

However, Moyes said that he understands why Mourinho would have been a candidate to replace Sir Alex Ferguson.

“There was a perception at one time that Jose Mourinho would get this job and quite rightly so, He should have been seen as that. He’s probably the best of the young, modern managers. Quite rightly, he should have been attracting all the top jobs. He’s a coach who makes tactical changes, depending on how his team is playing”, said Moyes.

Chelsea will travel to the theatre of dreams on Monday for the first real test of the season for both teams.

The only quote from Jose claims he never had these dreams. <laugh> Of course he said this after Moyes got the job. What's he going to say, I wanted the job but got rejected and overlooked? Incredible that you even bothered to refer to this. You either are a bit stupid or actually believe any guff that a website in India <doh> has published.

I'm actually embarrassed for you.

Not really. The exact opposite is true.

The article states: "...but eventually lost out to David Moyes."

losing out means he in competition and did not get offered the job. You don't lose out if you turn down an offer do you? <laugh>

Its impossible to lose out to something you and two others have rejected. What is your reaction to the proof that Carlo was 1st Choice?

Total rubbish!

Jose was party of knowing Fergie's retirement date before elements of your board did and was offered the job by the man himself which is why he turned it down. He told Fergie he was going back to Chelsea and out of respect for their friendship has said nothing.

Looking at the posts above it is proven that Ancelotti was first choice but waited for Jose's job to become available. Apparently Fergie later tapped up Pep in New York and got another elbow as he was going to Bayern Munich.
So here we are, we have the Happy/Special/Chosen One and you have 'Last Minute Moyes'

Enjoy mediocrity. <ok>

Not really. There was no question of Fergie tapping Mourinho. Mourinho himself stated last Sunday that Ferguson had not revealed to him who United had chosen as his successor. Does that seem like " Fergie came to offer the job" ?<laugh>

As for the succession of managers being considered, why would Roman go straight back to a man he sacked unceremoniously last time round? He tried pep, Klopp and many other top managers before he eventually settled on someone who was willing to go for the short term job <ok> A man with Roman's billions does not humiliate himself unless he has to...<whistle>

This is no proof. Pure speculation. You are thick if you believe anything you read in the papers or twitter...<laugh>

What proof?

The proof that Carlo has publicly said as much and was widely reported throughout many media outlets.

Sir Alex Ferguson contacted the Paris St Germain manager last week with a view to succeeding him at Old Trafford, but the Italian politely declined the request.

The former Chelsea manager is being lined up to take charge at Real Madrid once Jose Mourinho leaves at the end of the season, and that is the reason he apparently turned down the approach.

It is believed that once Ancelotti said no to Ferguson, the Scot turned his attention to second choice Moyes, who it is understood had also held initial discussions with the outgoing Old Trafford chief.

Does it really matter that you ended up with a fourth choice manager? You all seem to like him and seem to be at home with another Scot or would it spoil the milk that everything was not perfect in the rose tinted glasses that is plastic land?

<laugh> No direct quote there from Ancelotti. Oh well try reading http://www.givemesport.com/345939-carlo-ancelotti-manchester-united-job-rumours-a-joke.

In an interview with French publication L'Equipe, the 53-year-old Italian called speculation linking him with the Old Trafford hot-seat "a joke", insisting that he hadn't held talks with Sir Alex Ferguson.

"Ferguson has offered me a job in Manchester? That's a joke," said Ancelotti. "I can't understand these rumours. "I can't understand why anyone would think that Ferguson would actually call me personally to talk about taking over at Manchester United."

Ancelotti revealed that he did recently meet Ferguson, but that was regarding discussions about a UEFA Elite Coaches' Forum, not anything to do with the 71-year-old Scot's impending retirement.

"I did speak with Ferguson but it was to organise a coaches' meeting to be held on 24th May, before the final of the Champions League," he added.

"It's about the UEFA Elite Coaches' Forum, which takes place once a year in Geneva."

Seems Carlo was never offered the job by Utd just like Jose.

Does it matter that Mourinho was SACKED by Roman who then went round the houses to find a manager (after a few more sackings..) and eventually settled on the one he least wanted - nth choice? You all seem to like him and he likes you so ...<ok>

I couldn't give a **** if Jose is the one Roman wanted least.
If the one he wanted least was the most successful manager in CFC's history, then Roman is a bell end.
But not so much.....because he did re-hire him.

If you keep saying it you will believe it in the end.

We know it, Fergie knows it, Moyes knows it now <ok>

That's exactly where they are at now. Deny deny deny even though there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Even making up stories that Jose admitted it in interviews, interviews that were apparently only shown to members of the Not606 ManU board <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Doesn't matter at all. Haven't actually seen anyone deny it. You're trying to say we do to match the fact Moyes was 4th choice which you deny deny deny but we're not denying it. Try again.

Again what is this overwhelming evidence? Publish links to actual evidence in which Mourinho, Carlo or anyone else for that matter? You guys scare me. Never ever sit on a jury.

Exactly, because United had not formalised a successor. They were sounding out Jose about the United job.

Do keep up.

When everyone else had turned it down, they went cap in hand to Moyes days before he retired and told him he was the next manager. Fergie gave him no choice

Apart from the voices in your head, who said SAF or any Utd official sounded Jose out for the job?

But the reality is that Mourinho was not offered the job/tapped/sounded out by ferguson. Like another Chelsea fan said, "ferguson would never in a million years have gone to offer his job to a man who could eclipse his record.." his words not mine...<ok>
