I am confident that Sunderland could beat Celtic or Rangers. We don't have a chance of making it into the Europa league, so I think it's disgraceful that Celtic and Rangers get in automatically, just because they are the least **** clubs in Scotland.
Celtic and Rangers don't just get into Europe because they are the least **** in Scotland. There is such a thing called the coefficient which is based on performances in Europe, of course it is mostly Celtic and Rangers that have built up Scotland's coefficient but this is what allows us places in Europe You fans of the diddy teams in England need not worry about your coefficient as you lot get in on the coatails of the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea who only do well in Europe due to spending millions of pounds. Next season you have Birmingham and Stoke in Europe, that'll be riveting stuff I'm sure

**** off Sunderland, we get 54,000 season ticket holders and we've actually won the European cup. You get my Sky tv subscription money handed to you on a big platter every year while I've to pay the same to watch **** games at Inverness, we deserve European football much more than provincial teams in the rich leagues.
You get 54,000 simply because you're the only realistic option out of 2 football teams in your entire country. We regularly get about 40,000 despite being next to Newcastle, who are historically more successful. We don't get very much money at all from Sky, and I have to pay to watch ****ty Scottish football waiting for the 4-5 times a year Sunderland are on the TV, because the airtime is being taken up by the top 4.
I don't think so, but I don't know how to check. We got about 3 mil this year for coming tenth though, and we definitely won't spend 40-50 million this summer

Nobody cares about Bolton or Sunderland or Stoke or any of the other teams Like I said on a previous post, the rest of the Premier League are being dragged around on the coat tails of Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and maybe Liverpool. Put it this way, the top 4 are like rich businessmen who fancy a night away from the wife and the other 16 are like prostitutes who only get to experience all the riches and all the benefits due to it being paid for them by the big boys
aye but you still get like 40m a year tv rights even if you don't get to see yourself on TV that often - the whole SPL is getting 50m in five seasons, thats about £2.5m a year to Celtic despite them being one of the best supported clubs in the country and on tv every week. You also understand that basically you are saying that because you are in the Premier League and can pay higher wages than us for better players than you deserve Europe more than us - despite the fact historically Celtic and Rangers have been bigger, more successful European clubs than even the likes of Chelsea.
