Cabaye is an interesting character. He has a very good all-round game, which is obviously what Wenger likes in a midfielder. The statistics would seem to indicate that he is very undervalued. At 27, he still has a decent amount of time left. I'd strongly prefer him to Barry.
Agreed, Cabaye is more of a Wenger pick and someone I think would suit us. You reckon Barry could keep up with the way we play and where would he play?
Barry would be a JOKE signing. Wenger looked soo uncomfortable today answering questions about transfers. Does'nt look like we are close to signing anyone. It was only a week ago he was talking a big game. Pleeeaaase sort it out Arsenal.
But, (as you are always so quick to point out whenever someone else says something along those lines), he has no knowledge of what goes on inside the club.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Newcastle-fine-Yohan-Cabaye-going-strike.html Do we really want a player that behaves like this? Or, are we so ****ing desperate for players, that we must overlook such appalling behaviour?
Flamini was a bitch too with his former club before he joined us. Yes, this is bad, but at the same time, when you have a player, you need full commitment from them, and Cabaye obviously doesn't feel he can give that, and as such doesn't play, I think that's a bit fair, remember how pissed we got at Adebayor when he put in some terrible heartless performances for us, it's better in such situations that the player doesn't even play.
Well, Cabaye doesn't seem to be talking, so we don't know the full story here. Usually there are two sides to everything, and we don't know what passed between him and Pardew.
Again, this is a grown up environment. Flamini doesn't owe AC anything and AC doesn't owe Flamini anything. If there was no deal it was because they couldn't agree on one. Same thing when he left Arsenal. He felt he could earn better money elsewhere and he took it. He seemed to be pretty instrumental in AC's second half recovery, presumable they couldn't agree on how much he contributed. They lost their first game to newly promoted Hellas Verona, so maybe he has a point.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has lined up Wigan midfielder James McCarthy, 22, to replace Yohan Cabaye should the 27-year-old France midfielder join Arsenal. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...james-mccarthy-targeted-2230389#ixzz2dD4iHiyd Germany international Ozil would be willing to swap La Liga for the Premier League, but only if the Gunners or Manchester United are prepared to meet his £200,000-a-week pay demands. https://login.thesun.co.uk/?gotoUrl=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/
Rumours that Flamini has agreed to join us on Twitter. Not a bad addition to the squad, could add some grit to our midfield. Need several more additions though . . .
