What's your feelings on Joe Cole's supposed transfer to Spurs for £3m. His wages have cost you more than that this season, and I'm curious what you feel about him

I think it would be a good move for us and a bad move for Spurs. Sadly, Joe is well past his best.

All of us agree too. Nobody wants him, and yet we buy him. Same it seems as it'll be with Parker. Please decide you still want him? :D

I think Scott Parker would be great for you....

    Honest.

And as for Cole, good business for LFC there.

Parker is worse than Sandro, who he'd be replacing though :/

I think he is a good player but it just hasn't worked out for Joe at Liverpool. Being injured and getting sent off in your first league game doesn't help. I do feel he will do O.K at Spurs. It will be nice to get him off the wage bill. £90,000 a week. <yikes>

He won't be getting any where near £90k at Spurs. That's if he is coming. Nothing has yet been announced, as far as I can see. I'm still hoping it isn't true.

I doubt anybody would pay that for him now. Daniel Levy seems to run your club quite well so I would be surprised if you paid anywhere near that. <ok>

    Why would that ever happen?

If we are going to break our wage ceiling, why would it be for Joe Cole, and not Modric or Bale?

Joe Cole is going to be nothing more than a fringe player for us. It really pisses me off that this is even news, let alone the possibility that it might actually be true! What the hell is Harry trying to do to us?

I really hope it's not true as well. He's just not necessary for us. On the right, we got Lennon, and Bentley when he returns, and the left, we got Bale, and Danny Rose, who scored for England U21's today

He set up the first goal, too.

That's just it! We have a fantastic young talent like Rose who is crying out for first team opportunities, and we (if the news is to be believed) fritter away our resources on washed-up over-weight has-beens who squandered all the chances they've been given. This does not send out the kind of message that I want Spurs to send to its young guns.

Just glad that we're shipping him out to be honest. Glad that the days of buying 28+ year old stop gap solutions like Voronin, Poulsen, J cole, Jovanovic etc appear to be behind us

Last year everybody bar none was calling for Capello to play him with Gerrard in the World Cup. So I think it's safe to say the same people thought Cole and Gerrard in the same team was a brilliant idea, not just Liverpool fans.

Maybe it didn't work out because he missed London more than he realised, maybe not getting a good start, maybe being snubbed at the World Cup, maybe any combo. But this season must've been the worst in his career so I wouldn't judge by one season at a new club.

He could regain his form next season. He could fit right into a Spurs team. But he'll have no resale value if he doesn't.

I for one can not wait to get rid of Joe Cole never understood why we took him on our books and for 90.000£/week He just sat back and saw a nice wage coming in
If Spurs want him they are welcome to him never done anything for us except a drain on our wage bill
