Townsend dived and made a meal out of it, even the commentators said it wasn't a pen. The first half one was a defo penalty!!

Townsend had lost the ball in the first half and went looking for the foul. Clumsy but the ref ignored those all through the game .... apart from their penalty.

Yep ref seemed awful. Not just penalty decision but how many yellow cards were we given. Smaller club managers should complain.

Swans play frustrating , I know we want to play positively but would settle for us going back to frustrating opposition by holding possession. Accept that sometimes you have to compromise, giving the ball away in attempt to be positive but De guzman, Shelvey and Hernandez are all prone to give ball away.

poor all round - slack passing and outmuscled all over the pitch. tactics were far too negative in my opinion, you dont go to White Hart Lane and expect to boss it but we were asking for trouble sitting back so deep and in the 2nd half especially it was inevitable they were going to score. We saw this all too often last season and it looks like Laudrup hasnt changed his tactics. Also why wait till we were behind to make the changes - it was obvious the way it was going we needed something different.
Dont get me started on the ref, he was a tosser and turned a blind eye to Spurs over physical approach. The penalty was a joke but we got away with the first half one so it all evens out - Shelvey should have been subbed at half time, his passing was poor and he was an accident waiting to happen.
Positives? Vorm, Chico and Pozuelo (who should now be starting games ).
I didnt expect to get anything out of this game but the manner in which we lost was galling - to pile on the misery even the bloobs won!!<wah>

The one that was not given was a penalty, the one that was given was never a penalty.

Cannot believe how bad we were. Probably the worst in 3 years.

and thats why i said in my post that you cant go tripping players up in the penalty area as you don't know how the ref will see it, He would not be the only ref that would have given a penalty....The ref never lost us the game today it was the managers fault with poor team selection going into an away game against a top 6 club...

We were much worse last season. Really? Shocking today - and I hate having a go at our team. The difference was that we played an under par Spurs team today. Vorm was the shining light and that was it.

    Piss poor.

Absolutely no contact for the penalty - seen Suarez and Ronaldo booked for similar.

Aye, I remember watching the games against Everton and Norwich knowing we were never going to get a goal, the same for the last game last season against Fulham. But today I felt that we had a chance to walk away with a gutsy 0-0. As it was, a penalty is what seperated the teams on the scoresheet.

Yes, the scoresheet. I can take losing. I really can. But we were dreadful. Really dreadful. How can anyone say they were 'proud' today ?? I'm flabbergasted.

well its gone now and i hope we get revenge when they play at the liberty.....the only way is up now as we are rock bottom without a point and are already playing catch up. We must not lose next game so our manager had better get his premiership hat on with WBA away and liverpool at home. lose these two matches will put us in a difficult position if others pick up points and it will be relegation battle all the way....

There we go, wrong tactics, wrong starting 11 and always risky making challenges any where around the box, especially when its evident the ref is a right homer <steam>

Of course we're not relegation candidates. It's too early for that.

But if you think we played even close to OK today, knock yourself out. <ok>

Try reading the post properly <doh> I said if we lose the next two premiership matches then we will be in relegation danger as we have not learned and carrying on from where we left off last season...playing negative football...look at the team selection today and the tactics, they were all wrong....
