According to my TV guide there's no MOTD2 on Sunday night. Anyone else noticed? The cynic in me says that it's because two Welsh teams are involved on Sunday.

On the subject of our game, whilst I don't expect us to win, some of the newspaper and pundit predictions are downright insulting. Many are predicting Spurs 3-0: score predictions are usually conservative, so they are expecting us to get an almighty hammering.

I know Spurs have bought well but so have we and they have lost Bale. Games between us have been fairly close to date. Last season at the Liberty, Spurs were hanging on like grim death for the last 30 minutes and were allowed to kick anything that moved thanks to a benevolent and, imo, a totally rubbish and biased referee. Even the neutral commentators couldn't understand why a number of their players weren't booked. WE know why, don't we?

Nonetheless, my head tells me that Spurs will win this but I don't think that hopes of a draw are beyond the realms of possibility. I wish for two things. First, a decent unbiased set of officials; secondly, if they play, I hope that JJ, Canas, Chico and Bony will dish out some grief of their own... if it's called for. Goose, gander and all that........

MOTD2 is on Monday night Ivor @10.30pm, I wonder who's playing that night <whistle>

<laugh>

Last weekend there was a lot of hype about our new squad with predictions in the media that we could catch Man Utd cold, this week we come up against Spurs who scraped past Palace last weekend, and we're not given a chance
I know Spurs have spent a lot of money, but there's no guarantee they're all going to click tomorrow.
I'm not saying we'll win or even get anything out of it, I just don't think it's a nailed on spurs win.
As has been mentioned, no-one gave us any chance with Ardiles and company ;)

We need to win at least ten games this season plus another 10-12 points from draws to have any chance of reaching safety and out of the bottom three this season so places like spurs, arsenal has to be one of our targets for something or we could find ourselves playing catch up very early in the season.....This is going to be a real test for us as everyone has huge expectations this season that could very easily go wrong...

Going by our fixture list we WILL be playing catch - so this is added pressure and our fans must be patient. Last season we had an "easy" run until October and we accumalated points quickly.

This season will be different. It is essential we don't panic <ok>

'pickled onion monster munch kit' what are you like Dilli?..............<laugh> must admit though that it does have a ring of truth about it regarding our away kit this season, far preferred last season's, but that' what you get for having a goal keeper chairman running the club!.....

Now to business, I would be very happy with a draw tomorrow, but I some how think it will be 2-1 to Spurs!.......<ok>

When we play at West Brom Phil we'll have to wear the picked onion monster munch kit because our white one clashes with their Tesco carrier bag kit ;)

Looking at that Avatar, you have a point about the monster munch

I have a feeling we could sneak a point here. Regardless though our season starts next week at WBA

Bony more likely to be rested for Romania.

I would argue the complete opposite. We need Bony to play against Spurs to try and get some points on the board. We don't really need to take Bony to Romania at all (or Michu for that matter). We just need to close the tie out and any draw or small loss will do.

Maybe nobody will show up in Romania - everbody has agreed the game is over and there's no neeed to go there  ofcourse Bony will go to Romania - so will the Whole 1st team...

Disquieting. Very few goals in the PL today so the law of averages say there will be a few tomorrow. Just hope they're not going into our net!!

Bony not starting

Wow .... this Europa thing is going to kill us, if we cannot play our top striker in the following Prem match.

Leon resting I can understand. No Ki on the bench. Lamah makes the bench!?!

Bony not playing with Michu is a handicap - you have to think. However, when the subs are made we might get to see Bony with Poz, which would be an interesting combination.

This is why I said that Lukaku coming would be a massive signing for us as he would guaranteed to start a lot of matches along with Bony this season.

If we could get him, that would be great!
I'm still positive about todays game...Think we could get a 1-1 draw

With all those matchs these weeks I actually think Laudrup will give many of the "1st team players" a rest in Wales on Thursday.
