They are spending big money on players. Didn't they spend a similar amount on one player last season?

Not sure. They signed the likes of Rodriguez, Clyne and Ramirez I think.

I think it was Ramirez last season. I'm sure he was over £10m?

Just checked - £12m from Bologna!

Southampton have a very good team. They've spent big on individuals but what they have bought is quality.. that wanyamma or whatever his name is from celtic was rumored to go to much bigger clubs before he signed for Southampton, same as Ramirez.

They have a few current internationals in their squad and lots of future internationals too.. Shaw, Ward-Prowse etc will both be regular England players in a few years time.

Which was a lot of money last time you were in the Premier League. Now, not so much.

Into a very healthy bank balance. Arsenal are waiting for the right players to come on the market. Wonder if we can loosen the purse strings with our very own Cameron Stewart once he gets fit. <whistle> The Ox looks like being out a while. ?

He did. Brazil 2014 was more important to Parker than Arry and the dramas. ;)

He did. Martin Jol and Fulham win again. So thats Holloway and Rednapp that Jol has hissed off within days. Lol.

Fulham did and got him. :emoticon-0103-cool:

It may well be true. Reason, Falcao has lied about his age. He is 2 years older than Monaco were told apparantly.

FFS, I spent more on sunday whilst @ Chelsea than Arsenal have done so far this window.

Good player but way overpriced @ £15m.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. The world cup wins everytime. Parker has no chance of the England squad by going to the dramas.

    plus,

After the success of Ricky Lambert for England last week Wayne Rooney is about to quit England. <whistle>

Arsenal travel agents have seen a slump in Villa holidays since the weekend. <whistle>

I'm no longer surprised that teams like Fulham weren't going for Parker...

Celtic lost 2-0 today in Kazakhstan to Shakhter Karagandy so will they keep the Gary Hooper money in the bank now.

Looks like no CL glory this season for the Celts.

They're preparing to go back down then. Decent player, but with the quality of the PL now in comparison to their squad, they need to sign considerably better players.

Norwich linked with signing Elmander - I think he'd have been decent for us.

I'd forgotten he was still there. I'd have thought Palace would be aiming a little higher than that, but he's a decent goalscoring winger. He also only just signed a new contract until 2016, so he might cost a fair bit.

Sky Sports: Charlton are being linked with a move for Evian's Ivory Coast-born defensive midfielder Eric Tie Bi. The 23-year-old, who came through the ranks at Lyon before switching to Les Roses, is understood to be heading to The Valley for a trial.

Very interesting. I thought he looked alright. He'll do well for them if they can get him for the right price.

Peterborough in for 20 year old Stevie May from St.Johnstone - given P'boro's track record of finding cheap gems, maybe we should take a look?
