BELIEVE! We finally grind out a result against physical opponents. About time too, these are the kind of results we need to be getting to finish top 10..... or higher. Now let's rinse sunderland next week, going to this match and Im hoping they will be a poorly organised rabble ready to be opened up. COYR!

MOTD at 2230 BST: 1.Swansea/ManUtd, 2.Arsenal/Villa, 3.Norwich/Everton, 4.Liverpool/Stoke, 5.West Ham/Cardiff, 6.WBA/Saints, 7.Sunderland/Fulham

Feels like a long time coming that 90th min pen!
Di Canio's blackcats looked far superior to Fulham today, unlucky in fact. Hope this dents them.

Just back in. That was a really enjoyable away day and we came away with what we deserved in the end.

Great to see 4 of the 11 starting are of our own academy.

Very clever by Pochettino to play JWP down the right flank instead of Puncheon or Guly.
He and Chambers know each other and he has the best football brain of the three and great work effort to support and cover for Chambers.

Agree with this. Chambers was obviously under orders to prioritise his defensive role and did it very well. We know from preseason that he can knock in a good cross when he does go forward but this was a game when we could have been hit on the counter. I'm sure we'll see a lot more of him this season, but he's not ready to unseat Clyne yet.

Some might be so bold as to say that that's good management....

Watched the whole game live in a sports bar here in Dubai - taken as a direct feed from Sky coverage - so had the benefit of instant replys et al. Strong first half performance - Lallana's goal was offside - his own fault because he had the last defender inside of him and had no excuses not to have kept himself level with that last defender. WBA came out the stronger in the second half and overran us at times but the back-four kept their shape (impressive when you think of the ages of the full backs and little playing experience they all have together) and looked very composed. We would have probably lost this game last season because of our frail defence. But now we have more confidence in our side and it showed. We did not 'mug them' - we did enough to win and these are the matches we need to win to finish in the top ten.

Your feed can't have been too good Romsey as Adam was about 2 yards onside when the ball came in. J-Rod was offside though.

Very proud to see us in the Premier League with 4 academy products starting, 3 of them in their teens, playing great football and all importantly winning. We are doing it in style, and I just hope our squad has enough overall quality to keep it going.

Surprised that JWP appeared to be the chosen one to take free kicks / corners obviously the manager expects him to start most games?

It's really good that he is good a at set pieces, as there will be occasions that by having JWP on them it will free up Lambert as an additional threat in the box.

Saints fans outsang WBA fans by a mile if the audio on the stream was anything to go by. But then Saints absolutely played them off the park in that first half with 63% possession so I guess that kept the home crowd pretty quiet too.
