Could have done with a win to start the season. A loss really isn't good enough Hope we improve as I have tickets to the next two games...
We played well, couldnt call it a poor performance. However, Fulham defended very well. Plenty of positives, the main one being that our new players dont seem too fased by player in the premier league. Can only get better from here; right?
New season, manager and players same old ****e! So much for the Di Canio revolution lots of possession no ideas!
Final ball and/or shot let us down today. every ball into their box seemed to hit a Fulham head from what i could see. poor crossing or just good defending (visual quality not the greatest)? Fair play to Fulham I guess. Got their game plan right and we didn't show enough to unlock them. Johnson, Sess and Giach must do better...and Cabral needs to get some shooting practice in!
Watched the game from the comfort of my front room... movement was good, plenty of flair etc etc, then they scored... We seem to run out of ideas at that point. Played more long ball stuff and with Whickham coming on, that seemed to be the plan. Ji simply isn't good enough..and for those who think Jack Colback is a decent full back, please think again.
Aye, not the end of the world but Fulham at home to start the season is a great way to get off to a perfect start Too many long shots without actually working it into the box A creative cm is desperately needed
Having Fletcher will make the difference ...lots of promising attacking football didn't deserve to lose - Fulham defended well
Set-pieces need improving! Wasted countless chances from free-kicks and corners It's not that difficult to get it over the wall!
Well at least we're not Arsenal fans tonight...more positives today than negatives for us, and Fulham did defend v. well. hey ho...
Possession counts for **** all Marra no idea in front of goal how many shots on target! Still the same old ****e
Its how we recover after this that will show what sort of season we are in for, a proper smash and grab by Fulham, but hey ho onwards and hopefully upwards.
A reality check maybe, which would be no bad thing. We've been accused of getting ahead of ourselves and maybe that has been the case. Today may also support the argument that more quality is still needed and further work in the market is required before the close of the transfer window. Would like to hear from some of guys who were there today to gauge their reactions to the performance. In any case KTF!!!
chill out lads. as calc says it was a classic smash and grab by fulham. you can't knock their tactics. hopefully we'll learn quick and bounce back. i think we will. have a good evening
Oh well.....I'll be suprised we will have a home win before xmas now! Our uneven fixture list now looks alot more daunting! A fall back down to earth for all the mindless optimists i think! Me personally would have been happy with a good performance and a draw today!
