Napoli have already said something about things looking clearer in about a week, so I'm not that fussed yet.
We do need to make sure that we get players that we don't need off the books, though.

The Damiao transfer will probably end up like Sandro's, where we get the player for a bit less than Internacional would like, but we have to wait til their season's over.
I'd accept that, as it means that we plan ahead, bring in someone to do a job this season and give the Brazilian several months to adapt to living here, without any pressure.

when does the brazilian season end poll?-

We fans want it both ways. We speak as if £2 million pounds is no great deal however we're up in arms if ticket prices are increased 1%. Levy has a tough job and it's only day 3 of the TW. Give him a bit of time at least, it's not exactly brinkmanship yet. Let's save the panic for next week!!

It ends on December 4th Don, but as RRP said their version of the Champions League, the Copa Libertadores, goes on til about June.
Hopefully we won't have to wait for that, though.

January wouldn't be a big issue for me, as we really need to sort out our strikers for this season and regard Damaio as one for next season, in my opinion.

Ah for once i was right then! Do we know if Damio is still involved in the Copa Libertadores or has it even started yet?

Having him in January is not the best situation i agree with you Don, but if he can come in and do a job for us then its worth the wait, just like Sandro! But it does mean we haven't got anywhere near to sorting our strikers out, but theres plenty of time <ok>

Yeh true poll........ wishful thinking but maybe if we can Nab droga for a decent price this summer he would be a perfect short term top class striker to have for a couple of seasons and maybe get in that Kevin Gameiro from Llorient who we been scouting. He finished top scorer in the French league and is a young pacey natural finisher...... A lot like what defoe used to be :)

There's an edit button on this site, if you want to correct any mistakes, Don.
Down the bottom of each comment you make, next to reply.
One definite improvement over 606 and you don't have to wait three minutes to do it, either! <laugh>

Internacional are in the Copa Libatadores, as they won the last one.
They finished 7th in the league though, so this campaign might not be as successful.

There's reports that Sevilla are also after Palacios as a replacement for Zokora, so we could be playing a game of waiting for their bid - whilst making Zokora paranoid that his missus will be the next person to replace him with Big Willy P...

We've got to get this Brazilian lad now. He's already breaking into his national team and, as we all know, getting into the Brazilian squad, especially as a striker, is usually a fair sign that the player has exceptional talent.

What is an added bonus for us is that Sandro is a great mate of his, so that will hopefully avoid the situation we had with GDS, who had no compatriots to keep his feet on the ground.

By the way, anyone know how GDS is faring on loan? Has he mended his ways? Could he feature for us next season?

15 appearances, 5 goals, 3 assists

Not bad, although if he does stay he'll probably be an impact sub with a few cup games and nothing more.

Hm. That's far better than any of the clowns we've had up front for us, this season just gone.

The risk with GDS, I suppose, is always going to be whether he can keep his mind and focus on the football rather than the night-life. More importantly, is Harry prepared to give him another chance?

I read somewhere that the option to buy for Dos Santos was €11m.
I'd be very happy with that.
