Our club Spurs have to be one of the most annoying and fustrating clubs in world football especially for us fans. If were not haggling and dithering over a price of a potential target resulting in us normally missing out on that player we then go and price all our Fringe players out of a move to any potential Club because we are constantly looking to recoup the money back. What is it with Levy and spurs? Yes we are a well run club and i'm grateful for that but if we are willing to sell Palacios and a team are interested in him and offering him decent money then ****ing TAKE IT!!! Then we can concentrate on getting our targets in. The more we mess clubs around over stupid over inflated prices for our fringe players the more we will be stuck with the same old **** E.G David Bentley........ Levy pull your finger out please!!! coys!!!

Morning Don

They're offering £10million??? I can't see anyone coming in with a bigger offer than that if that amount is accurate. It was on something yesterday that it was closer to £7m they were offering though?

Morning Messiah mate, well if reports are to be believed then 10mil is the offer on the table from Napoli. Apparantly spurs want to recoup the money paid for Palacios and get 12mil.... pathetic!!! Why don't we just do things the easy way and sell off our players so we can add some quality.

Ever get the feeling we're gonna end up disappointed at the end of the transfer window Don?

Messiah, i truely hope not but somehow i feel this will be a typical fustrating spurs transfer window as always. It looks like we have signed Brad Friedal according to USA reports..... although not the most exciting of players but i still feel a decent short term keeper for next season and better than Gomes. Hopefully this will kickstart our transfers now......... Apprantly in todays papers a spurs insider is saying Modric is happy at spurs but wants to see how spurs go in the transfer market and the ambition of the club so please hurry the **** up LEVY!!!!!

@ RRP..... You feeling as frustrated as me??? :)

I thought the whole point of our affiliation with Internacional was that we get first dibs on their stars?

How dare they reject us - ****ers!

This what i mean Messiah.... I'm not saying pay over the odds for this Brazillian but a 10mil offer when the guy is Valued at 17mil is a complete piss take and i'm not suprised Internacional have rejected it. I wish we would stop being cheap bastards all the time and get in our targets NOW!!!

We should just cut our losses and get rid of the dead wood we don't need. Levy has been saying the squad needs to shrink, so why doesn't he get on with shrinking it in a way that means we keep our stars

Yes but that's their valuation, which is understandable!

I'm sure we'd value Modric at £35-£40m, doesn't mean I don't trust Levy not to ship him out for £25!

Yeh but shelf if they value him at 17mil then an offer of 14-15mil would probably be accepted or atleast considered. Our pathetic 10mil offer is taking the piss and internacional have every right to reject it. Just offer them 15mil Levy and sell palacios to Napoli for the amount they want and be done with it! We never ****ing learn in the transfer window..... we are going to end up with all our deadwood like Ohara, palacios etc and probably have to loan them out like Bentley In JAN!!! We are so annoying!!!

On the other hand Don, we offer the £14-£15m and he turns out to be a complete flop (it's happened before) who struggles to adapt and we end up with egg on our faces again! Chances or no chances GDS is a typical example of this.

Just because we hit the nail with the Cow-Milker doesn't mean it's a sure thing to happen with this one!

And besides, haven't we supposedly ploughed serious money into their grass roots football to reap seeds like this one?

Thats the risk you have to take shelf when signing unproven talent i'm afraid mate!! I'm sure we took a risk when signing the likes of Berbatov and Modric who at the time were decent players but not recognised so the same has to go for here aswell. If you thought like that then you would never sign anyone in fear of your signings being a flop. This Brazilian is really rated and is a tall commanding skilful and young striker with great scoring ability so is the exact player we are after. In todays Market 15il for a striker with potential like this guy is actually not to bad. 35mil for Caroll mate remember???? Unless you want proven prem strikers like Carlton Cole Shelf??? ;)

@ Shelf, love the Cow Milker reference HAHAHHAAHHA!!! I just love sandro....... " Sandro scores the goals, Sandro scores the goals, Sandro scores the goals, so we will give him a cow, and he will milk it.” Got to be one of the greatest player songs of all time :) We need to adopt it

<laugh>

No I'm not saying that at all mate. But I am saying we shouldn't get caught with our trousers down on this one.

Modders & Berba may have been Prem unproven, but they were seasoned International players nonetheless, and you'd think the adaption process from Europe would be significantly easier than South America.

Then again I am contradicting myself in terms of what we're asking Levy NOT to do, so perhaps I should shut my mouth and jog on to the pub early <ok>

Napoli have already said something about things looking clearer in about a week, so I'm not that fussed yet.
We do need to make sure that we get players that we don't need off the books, though.

The Damiao transfer will probably end up like Sandro's, where we get the player for a bit less than Internacional would like, but we have to wait til their season's over.
I'd accept that, as it means that we plan ahead, bring in someone to do a job this season and give the Brazilian several months to adapt to living here, without any pressure.

All this frenetic transfer talk is confusing. What I do feel though is that next season is a crunch for success or failure. Succeed and we keep our best players but fail to get a top spot and as messiah posted it's back to obscurity. I still feel that our strikers won't play as badly again though.
