Maybe DJ posting a link on 606 to the match thread on here tomorrow will bring a few more over? On the other hand the 606 thread does seem to attract a fair few planks lately intent only on whinging and wumming. Moderation (in moderation) will improve this site.
Since there seems to be a bit of bumping old threads I've bumped this. Interesting to see how far we have come and how few of these posters still post The Magnificent Mullery is DDD from 606, shame he is not on here.
The software on here's had an upgrade hasn't it ? Seems to look much better than when I have had a look previously.
How times have changed eh Spurf? The main reason I've stayed so long the forum is due to the good debate and banter. Good job I weren't around in the beginning, chances are I would've left after a week! Though that may not have been such a bad thing for some
I've decided to stop posting on Arsenal and Chelsea boards (especially the Chelsea one) because the standard of debate on there is absolutely shocking. Have been dragged into long tedious conversations by Piskie, Ossie/Robbie (surely they are one person?) and KTBFFH (?) amongst others. I don't know how the likes of DL, Chelsea Pensioner, Bodanki, Varier2 put up with it on their board. My own fault for getting so involved, but not any more. It's a shame cause banter between rival teams is what this placed should be about. But the vile posts from Ossie/Robbie have finally worn me down. Just posting here from now on!
I think the fact that we don't allow personal abuse makes all the difference. We have a really great collection of posters on here and it has become what I hoped it would in the first place. There are still good posters that we failed to attract from old 606 because they looked in early on when it was not so impressive, but good to see we are still getting new posters joining in. The pattern of debate is set now so we will only attract good posters because the idiots will not be able to sustain their interest. Glad you joined later SoS.
