oh and he's a human being not a house or peice of meat.

you are all actually talking about compensation for cancellation of a contract and the transfer of registration.

to LFC suarez was priceless as he was too good for us. to other clubs he was a bad apple nobody seems to want. If it goes to january there is certainly a reasonable case that with 2.5 years left on his deal and some CL team wanting reinforcement he would be attractive. Is that 40mil? I don't know. I would expect if it is PSG or one of the silly buggers it will be 50mil. If its arsenal again it'll be 40mil plus 1 pound. If its nobody we go to next summer and then it sonly 2 years out and i would expect no more than 40mil then.

Just to throw more bollox onto the cow:

What about value to Liverpool? Lets say he knuckles down this year and with this seasons squad and a similar tally of goals from the bastard bitey one we manage to squeak fourth spot (unlikely I know but the club aims for it).

What was his worth then? His actual value + the CL money + the overtaking of Arsenal etc etc?

Quite ironic if we make the CL and then tell him to ****off <laugh>

No, I'd then sell him for 40+ 1 pound.

The market currently has his VALUE @ £40m, you rate him higher the market currently does not.

Suarez was valued last week £M58 while Bale was valued £M53.<ok>

All of which means, if Fernando Torres was worth a British-record fee of £50 million in January 2011 and now two years later Cavani is valued at £55 million, then Suarez cannot possibly be sold this summer for a sum less than that latter figure.

In the poll 77% of people currently agree he is worth £55m. Science.

No it does not. YOU state £40M. The market knows that the value of £40M has not been successful for Arsenal and is not the figure that Liverpool place on him. Apart from that there is no market understanding. That is confirmed by the fact that there are no published offers from other clubs - Premiership or otherwise.

Seriously man give it up FFS

I value my property @ £1m & I out it on the open market. I only get 1 offer on it @ £750k . I refuse the offer & I get no further offers from the market. Thus the market placed a value of £750k on my property, the fact I saw it at £1m doesn't matter a jot as no-one was prepared to pay it, it's therefore not the current market value of the property.

The same applies in this case. Until someone puts a larger offer on the table the current market value on his head is the price that Arsenal were prepared to pay, it's not ****ing complicated

At the end of the day, Arsenal value him at £40mil, we value him more... therefore he won't get sold to Arsenal.

End of discussion <ok>

Suarez isn't a house. It's not ****ing complicated.

The open market value principle applies across the entire spectrum of life, it's worth what someone's prepared to pay for it.

Sorry if you find lateral thinking a bit of a challenge to your test tube boilers bonce
