Hasn't been the worst performance, we definitely should of scored atleast once, a bit wasteful on our parts. I'd like to see a bit more bite on our challenges, we're making it far to easy for them when they are in possession.
Not great, keeping the ball well and moving Celtic around well. Just need to sort out the final pass/Finish. Wisdom had a poor first half, stop trying to out muscle the guy and concentrate on defending!
I still think Coutinho needs to be in his best position as our most creative player. Allen's played alright so far pre-season, but I really don't want him shoehorned into the side at the expense of Coutinho. We need some pace on the pitch too - Ibe or Sterling instead of Allen and Coutinho played in the middle.
I'm start to worry that Allen is going to be our AM for the season. He offers absolutely nothing interms of creativity. Getting into the box doesn't make him a good player all of a sudden, he runs around like a headless chicken and never really gets an incisive ball forward. BR needs to move on from his lovechild and bring in a proper playmaker.
I still think we're far too thin and light-weight. We need a few extra signings. A starting CB, attacking player and, perhaps extra midfielder (Eriksen....)
With Sturridge and potentially Suarez coming back in, I don't see that being a problem. Last season we scored the most goals in the PL since the Coutinho and Sturride purchases. On another note - I'd play Alberto instead of Allen as part of the central 3.
I think Coutinho has similar impact playing wide as well. He loves to cut inside and pick a pass or shoot, also allows us to accommodate another creative player behind the striker (Eriksen perhaps).
