if Arsenal do get him. He will be missing a large chunk of the season and will be wanting out next season if they do not make the Champions league or if Real come in. Karma will **** him over. If Arsenal buy him. They are clearly not going to make the champions league next year..lol Thats not me being bitter, thats just the world working like an arsehole..lol
One thing I don't understand i that when asked about a move to Chelsea, a much better team than Arsenal, he laughed at the thought. Why is he so desperate to join a team that will just make up the numbers? It goes against his whole personality. He's the most ambitious player I've ever seen, why go to a club that has almost zero chance of winning the CL?
Because it appears that Wenger is the only club that have bid for him and shown a serious interest. At a potential £40m, you would have expected more to come in. Can't see Luis leaving unless another bidder comes in to drive up the price.
One of the Twitter 'lawyers' tweeted this: Don't know how true this is but I thought it was interesting.
I think he'll leave regardless, as I don't see how you can keep him, even if Arsenal are the only show in town. However, you can rest assured that Arsenal are not his preferred option here & if he does go there, has another storming season & Madrid come knocking next summer..................then the Gooners can expect an action replay of this debacle....
Suarez is not that daft...to be in the same team as Branislav Ivanovic .You should respect him for that.
I cant figure out if your being serious or not? He'd kiss and make up with him in about 5 mins flat if he went there, the Chav player already stated a while back he'd have no probs with Suarez going to them
Am I right in saying that the main thrust of the verbal contract/understanding has been private conversations with Rodgers? Anyone else been promised the world by their bosses if we just get this contract/get through this project/ implement these changes, etc, etc, only to be told afterwards that due to budget cuts, change of policy, lack of resources and so forth that , well actually we can't deliver on that promotion/bonus that was discussed, which was only as an aspiration but not agreed to in certainty?
I would be amazed if Liverpool were wrong in this contract situation and what makes me think they are right is the way Suarez went to a newspaper in what looks like a desperate act to force a move.
who cares... seriously. if the club has balls they'll follow levy's example... if they've none they'll sell to arsenal. If they've strategic intent they'll sell to real for 35mil or some such.... or any other club that steps in.
Unless you know something we don't all of the above is pure speculation, but let's suppose it's true. In relations with LFC Suarez and his agent and legal team are a single entity- if he signed something he didn't understand because they advised him to that's their problem. If LFC had a contract drawn up, finding any variation between it and a prior verbal agreement is the responsibility of his team. The club have laid out their position in black and white, so how can they be accused of deceit? The more likely deceit is that there was no verbal contract and that he's pulling a fast one, though obviously that too is speculation. Although verbal agreements are legal, they're nigh on impossible to prove.
How can it be deceit if it's in writing ffs? It's either in the contract or not. Suarez should be blaming his crap advisors for this, not us. If you don't read a contract properly it's you're own fault, not the counter-party's
Probably already have. I know Ivanovic said he wasn't hold a grudge etc Luis Suarez, his agent and his lawyer?
Could he not have delayed this interview until the end of August? Seeing as the only club who have made bids for him are not even in the Champions League? There's a chance that he'll screw himself over here. What happens if Arsenal don't qualify and no-one else makes a bid. I'm assuming he doesn't have the support of most lfc fans anymore?
The only thing that concerns me is if the clause issue resolves around the bidding club being a CL club and we're playing the technicality card in that, Arsenal are yet to qualify. That would be the worst case scenario IMO; losing him for just £40m to a rival along with the embarrassment placed on the club!
