I won't believe it until he's down as an Arsenal player on Wikipedia.

Just what we need, another kid. Hope this isn't one of the "other names we are working on" Wenger mentioned.

If he's signed and is good, then he is what we need.

Good player, i'm all for this transfer. He's a kid, but not in the sense that he's not ready, he was one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga last year.

I know nothing about this Ginter, but Kyle watches German football, so his comments about this kid are reassuring. Also these days you have to be pretty good just to get into the Germany under 21 team.

He supposedly played the majority of his games as part of the back four last season. We all agree that a back-up is needed there.

I mostly remember him playing the Holding role. He's like a younger and inferior Lars Bender, but with the potential to be better than Bender. regardless, he's a DM, and as such he's already an upgrade for us.

Call me old fashioned but I would prefer an experienced NOW player with premier league pedigree. Someone like, oh I don't know... Felaini FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obligatory youtube video. Being a defensive player youtube is not the best place to judge him (more so than normal youtube videos), important takeaways seem to be he is decent in the air and with the ball in the air and at his feet. Also seems he plays both CB as well as DM. Looks a solid buy but I would prefer a more recognised established player ala Fellani. But not complaining either. If we get him still think we should get Suarez, Fellani (gent can be back up for CB and DM) and a st/wf (still hoping for Vela).

He runs like he's trying to knee someone in the face, but looks a good player.

He WILL be a great player, but right now he isn't. I said the same when we were linked with Kongdobia earlier, I am all for us signing young promising players but at the same time I don't want us to rely heavily on them. If Ginter comes in he will still be the only natural DM we have at the club. If we want to compete I feel we need an experienced holding player like Gustavo or Matuidi and then have a youngster like Ginter play 2nd fiddle. It seems if we sign Ginter and nobody else in that department we will be doing the absolute minimum to address our problems.

I watch alot of German football. (The Wife's family are all Bayern Supporters)

I've watched him play a few times. For me he's better suited to the Defensive midfield role than CB.

He's strong in the tackle and very hard to push off the ball.

    Would be a good signing.

Yeah. I'd prefer a Gustavo but Ginter would be good as well

Anyone ever heard of any of the other 3 youths we have been linked with today?
