6 months before the end of your contract you can sign a pre-contract agreement with a team from abroad but not from your england afaik? Might be wrong on that - but im not particularly botehred

Barca where reportedly interested in signing him a couple of years ago - they came out with lots of comments about how world class he was and how dangerous of a player - Pepe, Messi, Xavi etc...
Again though i fail to see what this has to do with how he compares with Bale. Any transfer is different - at different times different teams need different players for different position - the amount of different things that effect the valueof a player other than how good they are is huge... i dont belive your that stupid not to understand this.

Torres was younger, with a longer contract and it was Chelsea who bought him.
Van Persie had a year left on his contract, he was 29 and it was Arsenal selling him.
Bale and Walcott both have years left on their contracts and are of a similar age, so their values should be fairly similar if they're regarded in a similar fashion by other clubs.
Walcott was available to Real on a free, but they'd prefer to move for someone else for a ridiculous amount of money. Why?

Baseless assertion. Man Utd were linked with a big bid for him and are you seriously suggesting that the likes of PSG, Monaco or City wouldn't splash out silly amounts, too?
By the way, if Barca wanted Walcott so badly, then why didn't they try and sign him for nothing?
Monaco, PSG and City do spend obscene amounts of money. Two of those clubs have spent £55m on a player this window. Cavani and Falcao - two fo the very best plaeyrs in the world right now. You could get both for the same price as Bale is being rumoured to go for.

Your claim was that no other club would offer even half of Real's bid. You've already conceded that this isn't true.

Can we actually all bear in mind that Real haven't yet actually offered anything for Bale?
I suspect that one possible explanation for this is that they still owe us £12m for Bale. How on earth can they offer us anything for Bale when they clearly cannot afford to pay the £12m outstanding to us from the last time they nicked a player off us?

No, I've been using facts. Madrid have made their interest clear. Man Utd have. Mourinho says that he wanted to sign Bale.
None of these clubs moved for Walcott when he was available for nothing, as far as we know.
You're offering an opinion as an alternative to those facts.
If you're going to go with general opinions on Bale's worth, then we could easily apply them to the Bale v Walcott debate.

Ok post #13344 - If your going to try and make a comment at least make sure you know what your talking about. We have finished 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 4th - so if we continue in that vein we will finish 3rd next season, not 5th. Numbers not your strong point?

@PNP - Chelsea and Pool where both an alert waiting to see what would happen but it was obvious he would re-sign for Arsenal, he has also been linked with moves to Utd and Barca over the last couple of seasons. (Barca even began the bigging up of Walcott with messi, pep and others comming out with how good he is).

And i've also said due to Bales physical power he has been able to get some game changing goals this season and i've also agreed he is the better player currently.
