We've never used being full of **** as an excuse for bottling it at the end of the season <whistle>
That's your department.

And stalking your rivals because you're concerned you have signed **** all is your department.

Face it you're hardly world beaters now, scrapping for 4th every season with us.

Of the last 4 seasons we have finished 4th twice and 3rd twice, so we are not scrapping 4th every season :)

At most one of the following two statements can be true:

Spurs had a better team than Arsenal last year and should have finished above them but couldn't take the pressure and bottled it.

Spurs had a worse team than Arsenal and did well to finish within one point.

And these two

Bale is much better than Walcott and carries the poor Spurs team

Walcott and Bale are similar in quality.

So far today you've claimed all four!

Stop being silly <ok> The contradictions are your own

I think the 1 point difference shows we where fairly close in quality and performance last season. I think to an extent Spurs did bottle it but i also believe Arsenal played below standard in the first few months of the season. These things even themselves out in general. So far Tottenham have still failed to overtake us and so still have not as good a team.

As for Walcott and Bale i posted my thought on the Arsenal board. They have both had very similar careers, both have very similar stats, one is overrated and one is underrated. Bales physical strength allowe him to score alot of important goals whichhasgot him a lot of attention - but there isn't too much between them.

He basically said that he refuses to pay over the odds for a player, which means you haven't a hope of getting Suarez <ok>

Since your obviously interested :P I shall post what i did on the Arsenal board about Bale and Walcott:

A quick comparison of the stats:

Bale - Total - 203 apps, 56 goals
2012/13 - 26 goals, 10 assists
2011/12 - 12 goals, 14 assists
2010/11 - 11 goals, 3 assists

Walcott - Total - 263 apps, 63 goals
2012/13 - 21 goals, 14 assists
2011/12 - 9 goals, 10 assists
2010/11 - 13 goals, 12 assists

This is removing there international goals and assists to see how they are for there clubs. As you can see they have had fairly similar seasons to each other over the last 3 years. Overall Walcott has more goals and assists as prior to this 3 year period he was more involved even as a bit part player as a younger man. Both have done it against some top opposition (Walcott has turned Barca games on there head, Bale Inter games). Both are similar in there style of play and so far have had fairly similar careers. The key difference is that Walcott has had more opportunites to play at the top level due to being at Arsenal rather than Spurs. Up until this last season i would have hands down chosen Walcott over Bale.

Statistically there really isn't much between these two players. Bale is vastly over-rated and Walcott is under-rated. Both are of a similar level, the difference for me being Bales physical strength has allowed him to pop up and get some important goals last season. Both are very good players.

But of course stats mean nothing when they pull the rug out from under your argument <whistle>

He basically says we are still working on the Suarez deal and other deals. We have already made 40m+ bids this window, don't think you have to worry about us spending money - it's just whether we can get the players we want at prices we think are reasonable. This means not just paying 55m because Liverpool ask for it when we think we can get a deal done for 40-45m... There is a difference between not being rippedpoff and not spending any money :)

Bale is the main man at Tottenham, he is quick and he is powerful which the british media love. The media had a love-in with the Spurs when you made the CL as we love a good underdog story and so Bale then performing when the spotlight was on him (inter) helped him a lot - at that point he wasn't as good as he is now, didn't have an amazing season.

So the media where desperate for him to make it and be a superstar, therefor when he had such a great season he was hyped up massively.

With Walcott he got over-rated far too early - he was taken to the World Cup as a 16 year old. Therefor everyone felt let down that he didn't burst onto the scene straight away as a superstar. From that point on a few media hacks had it in for him with there football intelligence comments and the **** stuck. Therefor despite his very clear improvements over the last few seasons to a point where he is scoring 20+ goals he has been overlooked by a lot of people.

It isn't particularly difficult to figure out why Bale is currently over-rated and Walcott under-rated.....

Real Madrid are SO naive! They could get Walcott for a third the price....
