I don't follow anyone ncfc related just meant on the ncfc search at the top, it's swarmed with chaos crew tweets
My guess is that Quag remains the number one target, Toivanen has only just resurfaced as no-one else shows interest and so his agent is probably trying to keep things going by saying he hasn't ruled out coming here and Lopez was contingency in case Hooper didn't happen. Can't see Lopez coming here now ...... unless Quag goes to Valencia lol !
I wouldn't be surprised and I hate to say it but if it's a choice between us and Valencia we would most definitely lose out.
Valencia is also a truly lovely city so we can't even play the quality of life card. Would Hooper have picked us over Hull all things being equal - you'd have thought so but us or Valencia I suspect he'd be getting his Spanish phrase book out.
You're not wrong there, squire. I've been 3 times for the fiesta 'Falles de San José' which is as riotous as Spanish fiestas get. 14th -> 19th March every year. Mental Also had dinner in an Argentinian tapas bar underneath the Mestalla stadium. Quirky!
Just seen the clamour for Scott Sinclair's signature - for around £6m. Normally Norwich would be linked with that type of player, but no - we signed Redmond two weeks ago for less than half of that fee, who one day I think will be easily as good. How canny was that by Hughton and McNally
A good show of intent from CH and DM. The calibre of signings shows the direction that want to take the club in, Redmond could turn out to be the best signing in years if he keeps developing and progressing.
Surman going out on loan shows how much faith CH has in Redmond. He was excellent in the England U21s and has been again in the pre-season games. IMO, he'll push Pilks all the way and what a great sub to bring on.
A little rumour is David Fox hasn't travelled to Portugal, and instead has gone up to Manchester to finalise a loan move to Burnley... I imagine we will find out in due course if it's true or not.
Have heard that as well (seen at Norwich Airport for the Manchester flight). Meanwhile, Hooper's scored a brace in the first half against Braga!
I think he'll be a much better winger than Pilkington this season. He has more strings to his bow, maybe not as good a finisher however.
Yes, I agree. Redmond plays much as CH would like to see Pilkington play. Pilkington needs to adapt his game and be less of a "winger".
At 19, Redmond is still a bit raw and that shows at times, but his pace, movement and versatility makes him very promising.
you could really see his potential as a player, so do you think CH will bring Redmond on as sub? or will he get a start in most games?
I think he's a safer bet as a regular sub. His pace would really worry tired defences, whilst if he started, some of the rawer edges of his game might be more apparent. Ideally though, Hughton will play who he feels is best suited to a game, and not stick with the same line-up week-in, week-out. Hopefully this season he'll feel he's got the personnel to rotate a bit more.
