I agree mate but after his first few months, people are saying he is one of the best players in Europe and we would struggle to keep hold of him. 2 years later we were struggling to get rid.

I can't tell if this is a serious comment or not.

Arshavin actually won the Russian league while on loan a year ago.

Don't we currently only have avsquad size of like 16 players? So it's not that supriing we don't have lots of trophy winners. But off the top of my head within the last 5 or so years Giroud and Gervinho have both won the french league, Mertesacker has won the German Cup, Podolski won a league/cup double, Verm won the dutch cup the season before joining us although i think thats just past the 5 year mark now. There are possibly others but thatsan alright start i suppose. Thatsnot including international tournaments either or you can throw Cazorlain the mix as well.

Apparently the conflict of interpretation between Suarez and LFC over the terms of his contract revolves around our CL status, LFC believing we are not actually a CL club as we have yet to qualify to the group stages.

Don't know how legit the link is but people are telling me that he IS legit and that he has worked with the court of arbitration or something like that.

LFC do not "believe" this, it is a fact.

If that's true then I'm going to laugh my ass off when we sign him for £40,000,001. If terms are agreed in principle now, I see no reason for the transfer not to be completed on the 28th of August.

I don't think it will really matter in the end though, will it? It just gives you 4 weeks now to think of the things you can do £40,000,001.

  10. If that is true then it is quite embarrassing. However, ti will also mean he won't be going to Arsenal as Real Madrid will snap him up at that price <ok>

How is Wenger going to Brewster's Millions his £100m warchest in a week after we sell Suarez to Madrid on 26th August?

Only if another CL club has not come in for him, and of course we must qualify first. If it was up to me I would still try negotiate some sort of compromise to get the deal done earlier.

Media rags are all some folk are running their mouth off about, When Suarez signs, Madrid don't want Suarez and so on.

Madrid can sign both, they have the cash. I'm still waiting to see if any of this stuff about Suarez wanting to go to Arsenal is even true, and if it is it will happen very soon so we can look for players we can buy with the fee.

For all the absolute statements made by some of you it would be a funny thing to see Bale and Suarez go nowhere this summer, and that is still a very real possibility.

Never rule out the new French sugar-daddy owned teams to pop in with a late convincing bid.

According to Mirror Suarez will not pursue arbitration options as a means of leaving for less, meaning we will have to fork out 55m now, it seems.

Could have sworn with all the absolute comments about Suarez arriving at the emirates that this was not possible<laugh>

There were some on here who know more about his contract than Suarez his agent or Liverpool FC, surely they are not wrong?:)
