Tbh I am starting to doubt Wenger is actually going for Suarez.

Does not seem like a Wenger-esque move, and we are almost into August without any real progress.

Sturridge is far from great. I'd place him in the Welbeck category, extremely average. He just looks decent cause the rest of the team can't play football.

I still can't believe such a poor side like Liverpool are so arrogant. It still boggles the mind. I know that Arsenal are below par too. But how can they talk about Arsenal? Horribly misplaced arrogance.

Sturridge: 10 goals in 14 appearances
Welbeck: 1 goal in 27 appearances

Horrible ignorance.

sure , and lady players are better than Diego Forlan .

He has only scored 233 goals

A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect, as in 'I could sleep for a year' or 'This book weighs a ton' or 'Suarez could sit at home for a year with his thumb up his arse - he'd still be Uruguay's first choice striker'.

ill have what you smoking

Maybe you should - it would take the edge off of your anger issues <ok>

Indeed, only someone without the slightest clue would say that<ok> It's obvious he knows nothing about either yet still made the claim, says it all

Sturridge had the best goals to minute ratio of any player in the league last season

Sturridge had the best goals to minute ratio of any player in the league last season

And Coutinho had the best outside of the foot to minute ratio of any player in the league last season. #NextYear

I am so ****ing sick of reading about Sturridge's and Coutinho's amazing stats bases on less than half a season in which Liverpool were under no pressure and had nothing to play for. Have a ****ing word, have people already forgotten the numerous 5 goal thrashings dished out when first Dalglish took charge of Liverpool? The long unbeaten runs, the Maxi Rodriguez hat tricks.

It's ****ing unbelievable, these players are nothing special until they have proved otherwise WHEN IT MATTERS. Anybody can come in and perform well for a few months. I remember when people thought Arshavin was our best player.

Arshavin performed for Arsenal for more than a few months - really don't want to get dragged back into this one again, but i have posted previously stats which completely disprove this whole "he was only good for half a season" crap. Bad example to use buddy :P

We can only form an opinion based on the performances we see. Arshavin was your best player at the point when people thought Arshavin was your best player, he then turned ****/got found out/got injured or whatever?!

Anyway, no ones saying sturridges stats make him one of the top pl strikers, just that he's better than that overhyped and overrated turd that is Welbeck

Fair point.

Don't know why t he other Liverpool fans have to be so arrogant about their players' abiliites. The Scousers should learn to be more humble like arsenal fans

Oh crumbs will you stop it will you for gods sake, this has been going on since last week<doh>

can't you just have a laugh without banging on and on and on, you talk league cos if you mention any other trophies we've won it since you last won it, FA Cup Champions League, which you never won, League cup and a few other finals, so what? What? 8 years of desolation. Live with it.<laugh>

Zlatan started this and you whinge at me like I did<doh> who cares, 18 is better than 8, 5 is better than 0.

I'd take our wins over your any day, when ever they occurred <ok>

Now have one more pop, I'll let you win n'all, just don't want this all kicking off again

The league is the bread and butter. When Liverpool were good they prioritised that, and cups were a bonus

Your johnny come lately plastic may see CL as more important than the league however

The same argument can be used to show that Arsenal are a nothing club. You've bottled every competition you've entered for 8 years straight now.

Aside from Giroud winning Ligue 1 two seasons ago, has anyone at Arsenal won anything the last half a decade?
