No, £47.5 million is in between the two...

Your maths are rubbish pal! nobody asked what the mean was. G was perfectly correct to say that £50m was between the upper and lower figures.

But just to let you know, nobody at LFC have identified a figure they have only said that it would have to be IN EXCESS of £50m

Teams say stuff like that all the time, it's totally meaningless. If you sell Suarez, it will be for below £50 million.

We "weren't accepting any offer below £30 million" for RVP, and we sold him for £25 million. Suarez will go for 45-48 million.

You had zero bargaining power with RVP, your alternative was he leaves for nothing following year. Suarez has 3 years left and will leave on our terms. He won't sulk this year if he stays , not with the World Cup coming up

With all due respect, what Arsenal and Liverpool say is two different things and a comparison like that only works if its the same people involved, it clearly isn't. After Carroll, downing, Allen, etc Liverpool are in desperate need of making a statement, not selling cheap would do that.

In addition, RvP had one year left on his contract so it was all or nothing time. Luis has three years left.

Apparently SSN have said that Real Madrid have announced that Suarez is their 2nd choice option, if they fail to get Bale.

So if Spurs stand strong, it's game over for us.

If true, it pretty much ****s on Liverpool either way <laugh>

You should be pleased, Gives you an opportunity to get rid of, abroad. That is what you want... <ok>

Absolutely, but what I meant was we stand to lose Suarez one way or the other (expected anyway) but Spurs either keep their one man team or get a **** load of cash to spend (again, got to be one or the other anyway). So I guess there's nothing new really <laugh>

Suarez could sit at home for a year with his thumb up his arse - he'd still be Uruguay's first-choice striker.
