Would be absolutely mental for them to bid 85m for Bale. Not taking anything away from Bale just that kind of transfer fee is ridiculous for almost any player.
I agree. Bale had a great season last time out, but it was his best season by a mile & there's no guarantee he'll repeat it.
Bale is great with grass in front of him, running at the opposition (if you watch him closely he generally knocks the ball & sprints after it, rather than holding the ball under close control like Messi & Ronaldo), but I've seen him marked out of games & totally fail to impose himself.
If I was Levy & £85m hit the table I'd snatch their hands off.
