afcftw you just cannot accept that going to Arsenal has one, just one benefit, the CL, without that there would be 0 reason for Suarez to switch to Arsenal yet you try claim there would be, as if a couple of league places means anything to Suarez. Without the CL even the media would not be entertaining the Arsenal stories, it is the only reason they are regardless of how you think there are other reasons to draw Suarez there.
@Jimmy I think the point is that to get back to the top you need to get hold of players who are capable of playing on that top level. Lots of players see there time at a club as a stepping stone. Provided they are respectful towards the club and give there all whilst at the club i don't have an issue with that. It's like Fabregas- it was always his dream to play at Barca and we always knew it would happen one day. It's alright if you have prepared yourself in advance
you use words like idiotic when referring to a poster for a start I didn't even post to you and you call me idiotic because you get emotional about it and also pretend you have a **** keyboard when really you are bashing the crap out of your keyboard
True but someone like Fabregas gave you great service for a number of years. Someone like Suarez will be with you for 1-2 years. Plus trying to recoup £50m is quite difficult for a player who you could argue is already at his peak? (In terms of his footballing ability, not winning trophies).
@Sisu - Ok for the sake of argument i'll ignore the countless reasons i have put forward for Arsenal being an attractive move for Suarez and just focus on the CL. The fact is Liverpool can't give him CL football. Arsenal can. Performing in the CL is the best way to be noticed by the very elite clubs. Therefor at Arsenal he has a better chance of getting to where he wants to be in his career. I really don't get what is hard to understand about that. Even focusing purely on the ONE point you actually conceed Arsenal can offer that you can't - you still don't seem to see why that is such an atraction to players...
Well explain that when I offer opinion with one arsenal line in it you start calling people idiotic? A fail right off the bat
@Sisu - lol. You do give me a good chuckle despite your stupidity... maybe because of it. A WUM is a wind up merchant, someone purposely posting for the sake of pulling a reaction out of someone, not really believing what they are posting - basically you and astrro going on abotu Arsenal being a step down is a good exampleof a wum And as i have already told you - the spacebar on my keyboard is knackered and requires me to hit it really hard, thus some of my words end up stuck together or the space in the wrong place. @Jimmy If he came to us and stayed for 2-3 seasons (taking him to 28-29 which is the peak for most strikers) and we where competing for major silverware whilst he was here and then Madrid came in and made a big bid - i'd happily let him go and reinvest. With Suarez you know exactly what your getting. No point getting attached when you know whathis long term plans are. But yes id still be happy to take him - he is a quality player.
@Sisu - if you repeteadly say the same stupdi things you have to expect someone will notice and call you out on it
I can only read one poster doing that. As for this whole debate. There is one simple truth. If Arsenal were not in the CL then this whole thing would not even be discussed, that pretty much negates all the claims of Arsenal's supposed superiority. Now I'll just await to see what happens during the rest of the summer, there's nothing else to say really other than that.
@gerrez - even though the only name i've used is stupid (didn't realise you scousers where so sensitive! My scouse mates aren't quite as touchy!) I shall refrain from name calling considering the good debate you brought over to the Arsenal board Appolagies
This just proves my point, you are playing some silly point scoring game that you are not winning, any discussion between you and I was solely based on your assumptions that there were other reasons, given that reply, it's clear what your intentions were on here. Yes Arsenal are in the CL IF they qualify, the only possible draw for Suarez, at least we've cleared that up, now lets see what happens in the rest of the transfer window
