Bzzzzzzzt. Pirelli offered the test to all the teams. Mercedes were just the first to respond. Do try again. Also, the money and chance of having no.1 status had nothing to do with his move to Mercedes? Yes, because if there's anything that the drivers and teams have in this sport, it's too much influence. This was Hamilton's first win of the season?
um the results from the races since clearly show that. Hence why people are questioning why, unfortunately because Hamiltons involved, people (especially in Britain) are supposed to just nod and repeat the phrase "Hamilton is the best driver" and not question/complain or criticize him in any way.
Tell me who here are claiming that Hamilton is the be-all and end-all.... Hamilton fans aren't allowed to enjoy a win without hate, bias and generalization. It's ONE win.... wtf is wrong with people. I didn't see Rosberg getting this level of hate... ridiculous.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc, in other words. As I said, there are plenty of potential causes for Mercedes' improved pace (for example, Monaco, the race immediately following the test, is notoriously easy on tyre wear and Mercedes went well there when Schumacher was at the team) and as Sarge pointed out, their improvement on the tyres has been exaggerated by the fact they were so poor beforehand. Also once again, Sarge and I are being accused of being blind Hamilton fans I'm not entirely sure what more I have to say to prove I don't like Hamilton, I just don't blindly hate him as seems to be the "correct" way to act these days.
i think some people need to step back and realize how absurd his followers appear to people who don't just blindly support and defend like everything he does.
If they carry on like this.. they may turn you in to a "Hamelot" TomTom. The response to this win is incredible and I'm sick and tired of being lambasted for being a Hammy fan, when I'm very realistic about all things Hamilton related...
um no my problem is with him; his attitude, how highly he thinks of himself and how he seems to think F1 should be. Yes SgtBhaji of course i can acknowledge he's probably the fastest out there in many areas, but unfortunately for me, all the other negative things overshadow that....constantly. Whats worse is that those negative things are completely unnecessary, am i allowed to have an opinion?
Yes... you are allowed to have an opinion, but don't categorized me negatively just because I support Hamilton.
One other thing I should point out... I am first and foremost a Formula 1 fan and a motor racing fan. I follow many disciplines of motor sport and have for 30 years. Formula 1 is not something I watch because it's on prime-time. It's my passion, as is motor racing in general... so don't try to accuse me of being some kind of blind follower.
Because Britney's not a whining spoilt hypocrite, with a penchant to annoy before he even opens his mouth.
To be honest the more and more I watch F1 the more I discover they're not in it for the honor like Jacques Villeneuve or the respect of their fans like they try to make out. They just want to win hook or by crook, PERIOD!
Because they are racing drivers... of course they do? What do you expect? A game of Sunday Cricket. It's all about winning... this isn't either new or exciting. And WTH does Jacques have to do with anything?
sorry, again you're just desperately trying to make it seem like there's nothing remotely different or negative about Hamiltons compared to other drivers, when he's spent the last couple of years whining like a little bitch because "Vettels had the fastest car", unfortunately people do kind of occasionally read about and listen to him constantly moaning, and his attitude is obviously far more arrogant and childish than any other driver out there. He seems to think he's far more entitled to the fastest car than any other driver. *waits for people to say everything about him is irrelevant*
All I can say to the response to Hamilton winning is that it's disgusting... The sooner F1 goes back to being a minority supported sport, the better. Both the racing and the fan-base was better.
