    When this all kicked off there was some good respectful discussion between Arsenal and Liverpool on here and the Liverpool board. A week later and its all gone crazy.

    Clearly Arsenal can offer more this coming season as the have Champions League, but these are exciting times at Liverpool with a wealth of attacking talent developing well and this time next year Liverpool could be in the Champions League aswell.

    It could be a mistake going to Arsenal. It could be a mistake staying at Liverpool.

    The only way Luis can be sure of not making a mistake would be by moving to one of the worlds current constant achievers. Bayern, Barca or Real.

    Ifhe wants to go to Real in the future I think he is better off staying at Liverpool as he wont have to go through tall this drama again if Real come in for him next summer.

    But I would say that - Im a Liverpool fan and think Suarez is an incredible player.

    How can you not disgaree with any of that superjack? lol

    1) Liverpool in the CL this time nextseason? Really think they can dislodge Spurs, Arsenal and Everton? It COULD happen but its highly unlikely i'd say.

    2) If he wants a move to Madrid he is better off going and showing he can perform in the Champions League - i.e. comming to Arsenal. It's an obvious career move when you consider the really big teams are not in for him.

    If they keep Suarez, then they could get into the CL. Sturridge,Suarez and Coutinho as an attacking force is class. Coutinho in particular has been a great singing for them and he has managed to link the midfield and attack with great efficiency. I would certainly have them finishing above Everton next season. As it stands, they are in the race for the top four, alongside us and Spurs.

    Respectfully disagree. They still need to bolster the midfield and defence, and get a better manager, and get a better board, and get better fans, and have more class, and be less deluded etc.

    They have averged 7th over the last 4 years to our 3.5th (lol) - cant see them all of a sudden leapfrogging 3 teams above them just because of Coutinho and Sturridge... If Suarez goes i definately can't see it, but even with him i don't see how they are going to do so significantly better than last season and at least 3 teams above them do substantially worse.

    Well we shall have to see. Personally Im not arrogant enough to claim i know where teams will finish before a ball has even been kicked, but I look forward to finding out.

    Liverpool will of course have to continue improving to make top four. But they are improving so are heading in the right direction.

    Alot of Liverpool fans (like myself) have a lot of respect for Arsenal because of the way the club is set up and have maintained a good position whilst paying off stadium debt.

    So ease off with the baseless/childlike accusations that Liverpool have no hope. Behave and remember that writing without thinking can result in Curtis Woodhouse banging on your door. <ok>

    More goals, more points, higher position... how are we not improving? (and all being done while reducing the wage bill as a bonus)

    @astroturf -

    Higher position? 7th, 6th, 8th, 7th is hardly a big show of improved league position is it... 63, 58, 52, 61 is hardly a big show of increase in points either.

    @Redbyrnner

    I'm not guaranteeing where anyone will finish but the sensible money is on Arsenal to maintain top 4 and for Liverpool not to overhaul the 3 teams above them. Don't see how that is me making baseless or childlike accusations? Please do explain.

    Not to mention finally looking to actually use our massive marketability off of the pitch.

    We have a new manager (yes, you are allowed to change them if they don't achieve as much as you want, though I guess that requires you to actually have ambition) and he has improved on what he started with. That is the correct direction.

    Wenger started with a team that won titles, now he's built a team that wins nothing. Wrong direction.

    To be honest That wasnt reall aimed at you more dubbed/hans grueber. lol

    You just got the sharp end of the stick because you were the last post...lol

    Although we disagree on opinions you have maintained sensible dialogue so I wil apologise for that. You have some really good posters on your board like Goonercymraeg, Superjack, Piskie. Some of the others could do with looking at hem as an example.

    And your entire board could do with looking at our good posters for inspiration, because currently, you're all a bunch of pillocks.

    As you get older you are going to have to learn to tolerate those with different opinions to yourself. Especially if you intend on having a relationship with a woman. They will constantly disagree and will be far more capable of reverting to a lower/more basic arguement.

    In short, learn to be more acceptant without name calling or you will have a long miserable life of being told what to do and not getting laid

    Recent league standing is a faily good way of starting to form an opinion on how a club will do though. Particularly if the teams have maintained a similar level over the previous few seasons. Then take into account the changes made during the off-season and how ittle or much that is likely to effect the team and you can come up with a GUESS that is based on history. :)
