You should still be able to get points from posts and threads and stuff, though rep is by far the most efficient way. I don't know if you still get user points when you get rep if you are at max rep.

New hardware has been 64-bit for a while so in the best case maybe the forum software could just be updated to take advantage of it.

It will probably be rep hitting it's ceilling.
A good thing in a way as us addicts can all get back to talking football... And wean ourselves off the rep crack pipe.

The maximum rep is 2^31 − 1 = 2147483647

It is because the website uses 32-bit signed integers to store the rep

Let's demand the website upgrades to a 64-bit system, then we can have a rep of 9,223,372,036,854,775,807

so... it's official.... until Mick upgrades to a 64 bit system we all hover at this level in perpetuity?

You are also getting close to the maximum number of user points; you have 3,008,359,088 and the maxmum for an unsigned (no neg points like with neg rep) 32-bit integer is 4,294,967,295

I honestly wouldn't mind if all rep and user points were expunged from the records.

1. Do a good deed. Give yours points away to those in need, then you can build back up again.
OR
