It's funny they're so confident of getting 4th just because they got it last year - oblivious to the fact Spuds are strengthening and keeping their best players (something Arsenal can't manage) - or that with Suarez (which they won't get) they'll be title contenders ahead of City, Chavski or united People call us delusional. At least most LFC fans would be happy with 5/6th and closing the gap this year with an outside chance of 4th. Good dose of realism needed for the Gunners. Severely over estimating the quality in their squad. When Suarez doesn't go there, will they go back to hating him and calling him a rat, I wonder? How long til Cazorla jumps ship too?
Maybe the're confident cause they've always been tipped to drop out the top 4 but somehow manage to finish in it year in, year out. And no one is ruling Tottenham out at all. They're a good side. Just laughing at Liverpool who think they're in it with a shout, when they have little to no chance. Look no one thinks Arsenal are great. They are below par. Getting top 4 last year has no baring whatsoever on the outcome this year. The fact you were ran close and got it because Spuds bottled it is also something to remember. Other top 4 challenging teams have strengthened and you barely go there last year. So far, your confidence should be dropping - until you make signings. I don't understand why you're all so certain it's in the bag. Also, don't discount Liverpool. We've matched the teams up already on other threads/posts/boards and when people say Ramsey is better then Hendo, it's pretty clear where the dreaming lies. We probably won't get top 4, few of us expect it, but we'll be pushing closer.
When did I claim it's all in the bag? You really got stop putting words in people's mouths. And I dont know why you're bringing up Spurs. They are on a different level to you, just like Arsenal are. Face it mate. You're just not good enough. It is as simple as that. Arsenal may very well lose their place in the top 4. But it most certainly will not be to Liverpool. That's the point.

I said 'you're all so certain' because, frankly, for all the talk of Liverpool arrogance on the Arsenal board, the overwhelming consensus seems to be that you'll get 4th or higher and there's very little concern regarding Spuds. When we talk about pushing 4th, we talk about the teams around us. When you (as in collective Arsenal fans - thought I'd clear that up) talk about 4th, there's little talk about other teams. ie, not concerned. ie, 'in the bag'. Anyway, why the confidence? Things can change quickly in football. We dropped from second to seventh in the space of one whole season, sacked Rafa who had been with the club for 6 years, changed owners after almost going in to administration and we had Roy in charge. Yes we are currently behind Arsenal, but we are finally on the road to recovery, we're finally taking the initiative and broadening our revenue streams, we're slowly getting rid of the deadwood and replacing them with young hungry players who are determined to do well. Football can be unpredictable, we sank to a whole new low, but in reality the worst we've finished is eight, which says a lot by our very high standards. You call us atrocious, which is quite harsh, we're not what we were a few years ago but we do still have quality in our side, surely you can see that? I don't see any Liverpool fans claiming we're going to finish fourth, but if we can keep a good level of consistency that we know our team can realistically produce surely it wouldn't be strange to say that perhaps we can at least push you and Spurs? Afterall, Everton were still in the running up until the last few weeks, and you could argue that you and Spurs both have much better squads.
You didn't ask me any questions. Personally, I haven't made my mind up on where Arsenal currently stand. We will have to see whether they bring players in or not. So confidence does not come into the picture as of yet. All this nonsense from Dubbed clown. The facts are simple, football is a results game with end product being success. Arsenal have not won anything for 8 long years. Liverpool have, how that makes Arsenal better off in his mind is a joke. Granted we've had our woes and the last 3 seasons in the PL have not been great, just prior to that we were top ranked European team were we not, but neither has Arsenal's last season they were marginally better than us and given their consistency in structure and Liverpool's inconsistency, our form can sort of be expected as it was but Arsenal fans expect far more, every year they expect more, expect a league challenge, who's deluded Dubbed will refuse all day to see the facts, 3 owners and 4 managers in a few years in his delusional mind have had no bearing on anything, yet Arsenal have had a steady ship and still failed to pull in anything at all in terms of success, he thinks 4th place is success, no it's added finances and a chance to "play" in the champions League, Owen was right, while Arsenal are in the CL they have no chance of winning it or even getting to the semis for gods sake and no one ever talks of Arsenal when they are talking about who might win the league the following year. Finishing a couple of league places every year while winning nothing doesn't make you a more successful club compared to a club that actually wins trophies, lessen the value of them if you want to but in the end, Arsenal are barren for 8 long years, nearly a decade of winning **** all.
