Folks, the general consensus is a temp ban is the best option. The proposed time limits are 48-72 hour or a 7 day ban. I am inclined to propose the 7 day ban. This ban will only apply on the Cardiff/Swansea boards unless the Super Mod deems the content too extreme then a possible site ban would be invoked (highly unlikely in my opinion).

With regard to banning orders, if a poster is banned from his own board then it's automatically a site ban. Certainly not a route I would want to sanction.

John, if you persist with the gypo/pikie comments I will request a ban myself, you have been requested many times to stop, so this is a final warning. You have some good input and some provocative posts. If you post a provocative post you know you are going to get some flak, however, as the instigator of a provocative post you should be able to handle the reactions without resorting to personal insults. If you can't do that don't post.

Sorry Dj for perhaps going a little ott - new guidelines are going to be put in place and we have to give them a chance

Banning someone "within 3 days" would undermine that new initiative to the point of rendering it pointless

We can't just ban if a poster says ban or ill go.. Hope you understand

    Give us a week <ok>

oh, i almost forgot, one of the most simple solutions to stopping wums is not to respond to them, and carry on with the topic..... until a mod can take appropriate action.......

    Pont,

Good luck with the new guidelines, I hope for this board sake they work.

Myself I think 4 or 5 Swans posters have had enough warnings, I'd just ban them, we all know who they are.

Im going to stick up for JH here, yes he is a wum and can be quite crass but he has been banned from the jacks board. Surely he should be able to post on HIS teams board without the fear of getting a ban because some jacks get upset.

If the jacks dont like it then they can quite happily ignore it or stay away, Certain jacks get little or no problems over here because they come over for a chat and a bit of light hearted banter/debate

JH has got right under the skin of some jacks and they hate him with a passion and they just cant keep away from responding to his threads.

DJR, Dont leave the board fella and most definitely dont think of posting on AAMB, god the city fans argue amongst themselves more than we argue/debate with the jacks on here

Anyway off to Cheltenham now lets hope for a good solid victory or we will have to put up with the usual crap from the jacks <laugh> <laugh>

I don't know if my posts are taken as mindless wum drivel or offensive.

The thing is, that we have a banter/wum thread for all mindless wum drivel, if you think it could be offensive why post?

Let's be honest how many threads on the swans board are taken over by mindless drivel?

Maybe I'm getting old and grumpy but when you log in in the morning to see 9 threads taken into the gutter by one poster you start to lose the will.

What I meant by offensive is that at times I did contribute on this board but I was either ignored or always got abuse back just because I was a Swans fan, it wouldn't really matter what I write here because nobody would have any interest in discussion. The only way to get a reply is to wum, for that reason real discussion on this board became a distant second priority for me.

I was just never accepted from beginning and never understood what it was that I did wrong.

*Some of that hasn't come out right but I am writing on iPhone and editing is a pain.

"Typcal of a lot of Kairdiff posters" and sweeping statements are equally provocative and likely to illicit a derogatory response.

Disagree completely Project. We have some swan posters who have excellent discussions with us and will join in with some of the better threads we have without issue.

It all depends what you want to discuss. If its to do with the topic of the thread and you brought up a relevant point for discussion I'd be very surprised if you didn't get a decent reply from this board. Like Taff pointed out earlier and you've asked JH to do, link us to the threads you didnt get the response on.

Calling us a laughing stock to all of football (on a preseason friendly thread) and stating as fact that our owner is lying because we played a friendly in the 'wrong' shorts is the sort of thing that has caused this to reach this point though. It's a lot closer to mindless wum drivel than disscussion point, I'm sure you can see that.

You are without a doubt the least productive Swansea poster on this board. IF the mods did ban you we would lose nothing except a load of bollocks one liners you make Dai look constructive and informative.

JH at the time wasn't like he is today, something drove him to that since you clinched promotion.

The first part of your response was fine, I am refering to the sweeping statement you made when replying to an individual, do you not understand how your statement can be interpreted?

We are (Cardiff & Swansea mods) are working together to find a solution. Your final comment "which you yourself have proclaimed you'd eradicate?" is also provocative and uncalled for and reveals your underlying intention to all.
