I think there should be some mutual sympathy between us Gooners and Liverpool fans. Last year we went through something similar and really had our noses rubbed in it by having to applaud RVP for winning the PL at our own ground!! Not to mention the fact that we nurtured him for nearly 8 years, many of them injury-plagued before he finally reached his full potential, unlike Suarez, who was brought in a couple of seasons ago pretty much the finished article.

On the other hand we have been starved of serious squad improvement for so long that most Arsenal fans are absolutely desperate for this deal to happen regardless of the frustration and anger Liverpool fans must be feeling; football is a harsh business and we have had our fair share of humiliation and betrayal in recent times.

If Fellaini really has a £22m buyout clause why haven't we bought him and Higuain for a combined outlay of £56.5m???

I suppose we don't actually need Fellaini though because Diaby coming back will be like a new signing...

I believe Fellaini's buyout clause lapses next week. If you (or Utd) are interested, then you'd better move soon.

To be fair to Pool, Suarez leaving them for a PL competitor would be 10 x worse than what RVP did to us. LFC and their fans have stood behind & defended Suarez through some very rough times. RVP wasn't expected to last half a season before getting injured and his age sort of helped ease the pain a bit.

Liverpool play the Thailand national team on Sunday 28 July on the next leg of their pre-season tour and are due to land in Bangkok late this afternoon.
However, speculation is mounting that Suarez has in fact remained in Australia and will be flying back out to the United Kingdom in order to conduct talks with Arsenal over a potential transfer.

Anyone heard anything about him not leaving Australia with the rest of the Pool team?

I do not know what stuff we are smoking but it is wraped in the Sourez-Liverpool contract. I am just watching it slowly burning.

Whatever it is they are smoking down at the Emirates, they look like this:

So most of the loss is one of payments, yet the results the season before also showed a loss.

Put it into context lad. What dates do the figures refer to and what was happening during those periods? Don't expect others to do your homework for you!

Why would I need others to do my homework, just google it, liverpool have made a financial loss in the last 2 sets of financial accounts, you can attribute that to whatever you like(in your case one of costs), the fact remains you still made a loss, and if you're going to be self sufficient like FSG want you have to change that.
